Journal ArticleDOI

A unique mechanism regulating gene expression: translational inhibition by a complementary RNA transcript (micRNA)

TL;DR: It is proposed that the micRNA inhibits the translation of the ompF mRNA by hybridizing with it and this RNA interaction may cause premature termination of the transcription of theOmpF gene or destabilization of the OmpF RNA or both.

Regulation of gene expression by employing translational inhibition utilizing mRNA interfering complementary RNA

TL;DR: In this article, a gene expression or regulation of a gene is controlled by expressing a DNA fragment or replica of said gene inserted or positioned after a promoter in the opposite direction relative to the gene so as to regulate or inhibit the expression of the gene.
Journal ArticleDOI

DNA sequence of the promoter region of the ompC gene and the amino acid sequence of the signal peptide of pro-OmpC protein in Escherichia coli

TL;DR: The DNA sequence of a fragment encompassing the promoter region and a portion of the coding region of the ompC and ompF genes was determined and the amino acid sequence of the signal peptide of pro‐OmpC protein was deduced from the DNA sequence.
