Technology's contribution to economic growth and competitiveness has been the subject of vigorous debate in recent years. This book demonstrates the importance of a historical perspective in understanding the role of technological innovation in the economy. The authors examine key episodes and institutions in the development of the U.S. research system and in the development of the research systems of other industrial economies. They argue that the large potential contributions of economics to the understanding of technology and economic growth have been constrained by the narrow theoretical framework employed within neoclassical economies. A richer framework, they believe, will support a more fruitful dialogue among economists, policymakers, and managers on the organization of public and private institutions for innovation. In the context of carbon neutrality, the development of new digital infrastructure (NDI) and the improvement of digital capabilities are essential, in order to speed up the transformation of the energy structure. Based on the balanced panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2008 to 2019, we empirically analyzed the impact of NDI on the structural transformation of energy in China and its mechanisms of action. The results demonstrated that (1) NDI had a positive impact on China’s energy transition, and the empirical results were robust. (2) The mediating effect showed that NDI had a positive impact on the transformation of energy structure, through improving green total factor productivity and green finance. (3) The heterogeneity analysis indicated that NDI made a more significant contribution to the transformation of the energy structure in regions with lower pollution levels and in those with energy cooperation policies. This study provides a policy reference for Chinese energy transition from the perspective of the digital economy.

Does New Digital Infrastructure Promote the Transformation of the Energy Structure? The Perspective of China’s Energy Industry Chain

Technology policy has a substantial impact on the diffusion of a new technology. This paper uses technology policy as a variable in the general epidemic model to quantify the effects of the policy on technology diffusion. The results obtained in this study, using data on solid-state technology diffusion in the U.S. indicate that technology policy plays a positive role in technology diffusion and provide a firm basis for understanding the relationship between technology policy and technology diffusion through the use of quantitative data. 요 약 기술정책은 신기술 확산에 영향을 주는 중요한 요인 중의 하나이다 . 본 연구의 목적은 기존의 전염병 확산모형을 기초로 정책변수를 추가한 신기술 확산모형을 구축하고 , 미국에서의 이산화탄소 배출 감소에 응용되는 고체조명(Solid-State Lighting) 기술을 사례로 실증연구를 진행하는 것이다. 실험결과, 정책변수는 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 기술정책은 신기술의 확산에 추진 작용을 하는 것으로 나타났다 . 이는 정책적 역할에 대한 정량적 이해를 도모하는데 있어서 정량적 판단을 위한 자료를 제공하고 , 정책변수와 신기술 확산의 정량적 관계를 파악하는데 도움이 될 것이다. A Technology Diffusion Model Based on Technology Policy: The Case of Solid-State Lighting Technology Diffusion in the U.S.

With the increase of national income, people's demand for tea surges. Therefore, the tea market has gradually entered people's sight and attracted much attention. Many businessmen quickly seized on this business opportunity. And with the continuous influx of businesses, the market soon became crowded, the competition also became quite fierce. This study will collect the financial data,  arrange the financial indicators of Mixue Ice Cream＆Tea and Naixue Tea and compare their profitability, operating capacity, debt capacity and development capacity. Through the comparative analysis of these data, we will study the strengths, weaknesses, potential problems and future development trends of the business model in the tea market of Mixue. Then it will give plans and suggestions for its future strategic adjustment and development direction. For example, Mixue can start to build cold chains to improve product quality and develop cold chain products or expand its business and use the successful experience and strategy of milk tea business to develop new markets like creating the new coffee brand. At the same time, this study hopes that this research can also provide some reference and inspiration to the business operation of other brands in the tea industry and provide some help to the future development of this market.
