Effect of nano-SiO2, nano-Al2O3 and nano-Fe2O3 powders on compressive strengths and capillary water absorption of cement mortar containing fly ash: A comparative study

TL;DR: In this article, the compressive strength and capillary water absorption of Cement Mortars containing fly ash (FA) were investigated using nano-SiO 2 (NS), nano-Al 2 O 3 (NA) and nano-Fe 2 O 4 (NF) powders and their binary and ternary combinations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Single and combined effects of nano-SiO2, nano-Al2O3 and nano-Fe2O3 powders on compressive strength and capillary permeability of cement mortar containing silica fume

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of three nano-sized powders of the main oxides of cement (nano-SiO2, nano-Al2O3, and nano-FeO3) on the compressive strength and capillary permeability of cement mortars containing silica fume were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pore structure analysis of hardened cement mortars containing silica fume and different nano-powders

TL;DR: In this paper, the 56-day pore structures of the cement mortars produced by the addition of silica fume and nano-SiO2 (NS), nano-Al2O3 (NA), and nanoFe2 O3 (NF) powders in singular, binary or ternary combinations at 3 different proportions (0.5, 1.25, and 2.5%) of the binder content were investigated through MIP and BET analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of radiation attenuation coefficients of heavyweight- and normal-weight concretes containing colemanite and barite for 0.663 MeV γ-rays

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have made accurate measurements of concretes produced with barite, colemanite and normal aggregate by using beam transmission method for 0.663 MeV γ-rays energy of 137 Cs radioactive isotopes by using NaI(Tl) scintillation detector.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiation transmission of heavyweight and normal-weight concretes containing colemanite for 6 MV and 18 MV X-rays using linear accelerator

TL;DR: In this article, the linear attenuation coefficients of concretes produced with barite, colemanite and normal aggregate for 6 and 18 MV X-rays with a linear accelerator (LINAC) were calculated.
