Estimativa da área foliar em diferentes estados fenológicos baseada em descritores alométricos de rosas de corte cv 'Red Naomi'

Abstract: EnglishA number of models for estimating leaf area (LA) are available in the literature, but these were frequently developed for a specific phase of the production (generally the harvest). This study aimed at estimating the LA in different phenological stages using non-destructive allometric measurements of cut rose cv 'Red Naomi' grown in soilless system. A statistical model was developed based on the following allometric measures: leaf length (LL), leaf width (LW), leaf position (LP), number of leaflets (NL) and different combinations of these parameters. The estimated model based on 176 leaves obtained from 20 stalks harvested at different developmental stages explained 92% of the LA variance (R2 = 0.92, n = 176, p portuguesExistem disponiveis na literatura varios modelos para estimar a area foliar (AF), mas de um modo geral estes foram desenvolvidos para uma fase especifica do ciclo cultural (geralmente a colheita). Este estudo teve como objetivo estimar a AF da rosa de corte cv 'Red Naomi' cultivada em sistema sem solo recorrendo a medicoes alometricas nao-destrutivas em diferentes fases fenologicas. Para tal, foi desenvolvido um modelo estatistico baseado na tecnica de “regressao multipla passo a passo” e considerando os seguintes descritores: comprimento da folha (CF), largura da folha (LF), posicao da folha (PF), numero de foliolos (NF) e diferentes combinacoes destes descritores. O modelo desenvolvido, com base em 176 folhas a partir de 20 hastes colhidas em diferentes estados fenologicos, explicou 92% da variabilidade da AF (R2 = 0.92; n = 176; p
