A fluid treatment system for treating feed water includes a first tubular member having first and second ends, at least one second tubular member having first and second ends, a pump positioned within the first tubular member, a filtering membrane positioned within the second tubular member, a first end cap for receiving the first ends of the first and second tubular members, and a second end cap for receiving the second ends of the first and second tubular members.

A spray apparatus comprises a housing (112) having a fluid inlet (114), a plurality of tubes (118) for dispensing fluid from the housing, and an integrating member (120) operatively coupled to at least a subset of the plurality of tubes for effecting coordinated movement of the coupled tubes in response to movement of the integrating member. An actuator (122), such as a turbine or an adjustable control ring, is employed for inducing movement of the integrating member. The dispensing tubes may be flexible so as to allow for easy adjustment of the fluid-dispensing direction or shape by the application of a lateral force at one or more locations along the length of the tubes.

A sprinkler unit of the type that includes an impact drive sprinkler vertically reciprocable inside a subterranean can or case is modified to incorporate a modern pop-up rotor-type sprinkler. The rotor-type sprinkler has a lower retraction spring retainer half-way up its outer riser and a shortened retraction spring. A cylindrical adaptor sleeve surrounds the riser and has its upper end screwed into the upper end cap of the rotor-type sprinkler. The impact drive sprinkler and its attached riser assembly are unscrewed from the subterranean mounting case. Thereafter, a lower male threaded end of the adaptor sleeve is screwed into a female threaded segment at the junction of the lower and upper sections of the cylindrical mounting case. A ring-shaped protective cover plate with a pair of spring retention arms is rotatably mounted to the top end of the rotor-type sprinkler to fill the gap between the sprinkler and the upper curved lip of the cylindrical mounting case.

An irrigation emitter is provided for delivering irrigation water from a water supply conduit, such as an irrigation supply tube, pipe, or other water supply apparatus, at a low volume or drip-like flow rate The emitter operates generally through the use of a relatively long flow channel that causes a pressure reduction between the water supply conduit and an emitter outlet The emitter includes an inlet component for tapping a portion of the water flow from the water supply conduit and, when the water pressure is above a predetermined minimum level, directing the flow to and through the flow channel for subsequent discharge to a desired location The emitter also may regulate to accommodate for changes in supply pressure The emitter also may include automatic flushing to dislodge debris trapped within the emitter

Low flow irrigation emitter

An improved inlet control valve is provided for controlling water inflow to an irrigation sprinkler, wherein the inlet control valve exhibits improved tolerance to passage of small grit and debris. The inlet control valve includes a valve member normally engaging a valve seat to prevent water inflow to the irrigation sprinkler, and adapted for movement to a modulated open position to permit water inflow to the sprinkler at a regulated pressure. The valve member carries a flow restrictor disposed upstream from the valve seat to produce, when the valve member is in the open position, a first pressure drop which cooperates with a second pressure drop between the valve seat and valve member to regulate the water inflow pressure. The inclusion of the upstream flow restrictor and the associated first pressure drop effectively reduces the magnitude of the second pressure drop across the valve seat and thereby permits the valve member to open with an increased clearance relative to the valve seat. Such increased clearance enhances flush flow passage of grit and debris past the valve seat, with reduced risk of particulate entrapment between the valve member and valve seat.

A sprinkler unit for distributing water from a source over an area of terrain comprises a tubular housing having an inlet connected by a passage to an outlet, a distributor head mounted at the outlet for rotation about an axis for distribution of water via a nozzle, a turbine wheel disposed in the housing passage and operatively connected for driving the distributor head, and a turbine stator assembly having a passage including a throttling device for controllably directing a first portion of water to the turbine wheel, and a pressure responsive valve for controllably diverting a second portion of the water around the turbine wheel in proportion to the pressure thereof for maintaining the speed of the turbine substantially constant.
