Over the past few decades, many publications have been made in the area of Load frequency control (LFC) of interconnected power systems. Load frequency control is necessary to develop better control in order to achieve less effect on the frequency and tie line power deviations after a load perturbation. However, number of control strategies has been employed in the design of load frequency controllers in order to achieve a better dynamic response and the exact choice of the LFC controller in a particular case requires sufficient expertise because each controller has its own merits and demerits. Due to this, an appropriate review of load frequency control (LFC) mechanism is essential and a few attempts have been made in this concern. This paper presents a detailed survey on load frequency control (LFC) mechanism. The overall study explores the depth study issues related to LFC mechanism based on different sources of power system models. This paper focused on different control techniques of LFC, which also includes all the recent application of FACTS devices. This review reveals the investigation of soft computing based optimization technique and application of Energy Storage System (ESS) and HVDC-link in LFC. These studies also illustrates conventional power system, deregulated of power environment as well as distributed generation and micro grids. This paper is designed in order to highlight the major traits of Load forecasting and some critical case studies on LFC.

A comprehensive state of the art literature survey on LFC mechanism for power system

Digital technology has significantly changed the speed of operation in the economy. The Internet and digital devices are a driver of economic growth. This article analyzesthe Russian digital economy and society in the context of comparison with EU countries and draws conclusions regardingfuture development trends. Based on secondary data from the European Commission, this studytackles five components of the Digital Economy and Society Index.It includesICT Development Index, Global Innovation Index (GII), Networked Readiness Index, Share-Households with Internet, and High-Technology Exports. A cross-country analysis reveals significant differences between Russia and the EU countries in terms of Internet accessand Digital Economy,and their impact on GDP and social processes that take place in the country. Findings show that Russia holds a position among the top ten countries inICT Development Index and Network Readiness Index. The growth rate of high-tech exports indicatesthe lag of Russia behind other countries in the ranking.According to the ranking of countries by high-tech exports, Russia lags in the production of products with high R&D intensity, such as aerospace products, computers, pharmaceuticals, scientific instruments and electrical machinery. Russia holds a strong position in National Cyber Security (63.64%), as well as in the Share of Households with Internet.

Digitalization in economy and innovation : the effect on social and economic processes

This paper proposes optimal load frequency control (LFC) designed by Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) trained via antlion optimizer (ALO) for multi-interconnected system comprising renewable energy sources (RESs). Two systems are modeled and investigated; the first one has two plants of grid connected photovoltaic (PV) system with maximum power point tracker (MPPT) and thermal plant while the second comprises four plants of thermal, wind turbine and grid connected PV systems. ALO is employed to get the optimal gains of Proportional-Integral (PI) controller such that the integral time absolute error (ITAE) of frequency and tie line power deviations is minimized. The input and output of the optimized PI controller are used to train the ANFIS-LFC with Gaussian surface membership functions. Different load disturbances are studied and the results are compared with other reported approaches. The obtained results confirmed the accuracy and reliability of the proposed approach in designing LFC for multi-interconnected power systems.

The role of information systems in transport logistics

The future power system must provide electricity that is reliable and affordable. To meet this goal, both the electricity grid and the existing control system must become smarter. In this paper, some of the major issues and challenges of smart grid’s development are discussed, and ongoing and future trends are presented with the aim to provide a reader with an insight on the relevant research topics, challenges and actual engineering tasks in smart grids. The focus areas of this review study are distributed generation, microgrids, smart meters’ deployment, energy storage technologies, and the role of smart loads in primary frequency response provision. The exploration of smart grid technologies and distributed generation systems has been accomplished, and a general comparison of the conventional grid and a future smart model is included. The issue of increasing penetration of renewable energy sources to the power system and posers related to the integration of distributed generation are also presented.

In conventional systems of prospect logistics, the flow starts from the raw material provided by suppliers, then manufactured parts and components for assembly of the end product which goes to consumers, and, when fully used can be recycled. The reverse logistics disposed of products eligible for repair, alteration, distribution of the parts, that can be reused as a raw material to be recycled for future use. It also generates the side products (hazardous waste, packaging, etc.). Reverse logistics provides companies with revenues and strategic benefits. Companies whose products are subject to regeneration can save up to 60 % of the estimated cost of a completely new product.

Improvement of Transmission Capacity by FACTS devices in Central East Europe power system

This paper discuss about the influence and problems caused by integration of renewable energy sources to the power system. Paper analyzes the problems of undesirable power flows that results from difficult predictability of production from these power plants. These impacts were modelled by means of program MODES on standardized power system of IEEE 39 bus System. The difference between sunny and cloudy days is compared in graphs and there is calculated that difference in percentage. Variability of wind affecting the wind power plants is also plotted in graphs. Overloading the power lines and transformers cause their outage and the imbalance between production and consumption, what shows the output of simulation.
