PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a hardenable two-component mortar material, capable of properly retarding a high hardening rate by separating a fine cement being a hardenable component from a water glass being a hardening agent so as to prevent a reaction and mixing them so as to cause a reaction when an anchor rod and a fixing means such as the anchor rod are fixed in a hole. SOLUTION: A fine cement has 3-8 m2/g, preferably 4-7 m2/g BET specific surface area. A water glass is preferably sodium water glass, potassium water glass or an alkali water glass obtained by mixing them. The concentration of an alkali silicate to the whole weight of the solution of water glass is preferably 20-60 wt.%. The weight ratio of water contained in the water glass to cement is 0.2-2.5 to 1, preferably 0.3-1.7 to 1 in terms of cost. A mortar material has preferably the ratio of the fine cement to the weight of a mortar component not containing a hardening agent of 20-55 wt.%.
