Cross-Reactivity of Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine With DRI Amphetamine Immunoassay
Isabel Gomila,Loreto Quesada,Victoria López-Corominas,Julia Fernández,Miguel A. Servera,Laura Sahuquillo,Macarena Dastis,Albert Torrents,Bernardino Barceló +8 more
TL;DR: Chloroquine can cause false-positive results in the DRI Amphetamine Assay when it is present at high concentrations and hydroxychloroquine did not produce false- positive results neither in theDRI Amphetamines Assay nor in the others immunoassays evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fenofibric Acid Can Cause False-Positive Urine Methylenedioxymethamphetamine Immunoassay Results
Loreto Quesada,Isabel Gomila,Antonia Fe,Miguel A. Servera,Christopher Yates,Daniel Morell-Garcia,Bartomeu Castanyer,Bernardino Barceló +7 more
TL;DR: A false-positive result of ecstasy screening due to the therapeutic use of fenofibrate, an antihyperlipidemic drug, is presented and it is suggested that the β-glucuronidase-resistent fen ofibric acid isomers are responsible.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detectability of Dissociative Psychoactive Substances in Urine by Five Commercial Phencyclidine Immunoassays
Isabel Gomila,Maria Ángeles Leciñena,Miguel Ángel Elorza,Yolanda Pastor,Laura Sahuquillo,Miguel A. Servera,Jordi Puiguriguer,Bernardino Barceló +7 more
TL;DR: The cross-reactivity study was performed in five different PCP IAs using urine-free, spiked samples and urine samples obtained from two 3-MeO-PCP overdose cases, and it was found that urine samples from the two overdose cases were positive for PCP in all IAs evaluated.
