TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral properties of the compounds: Cu 3 (CN) 4 (NH 3 ) 3, Cu 5 (CN 6 en 2 H 2 O, Cu 4 (CN)-Copper-Copper(II) 6 (H 2 O) 2, and Cu 3(CN)-H2O 5 were studied on the basis of results of spectral informations in relation with the results of X-ray analysis.
Abstract: Die spektralen Eigenschaften der Komplexe Cu 3 (CN) 4 (NH 3) 3, Cu 5 (CN) 6 (NH 3) 4, Cu 3 (CN) 4 en 2 H 2 O, Cu 4 (CN) 6 en 2 H 2 O, Cu 5 (CN) 6 en 2 und Cu 3 (CN) 4 (H 2 O) 5 werden untersucht. Durch Vergleich der Spektren mit den Ergebnissen einer Rontgen-Strukturanalyse der ersten drei Komplexe wird die Bindungsmoglichkeit der Cyanidgruppe und die Art der Koordination des ein- und zweiwertigen Kupfers in den untersuchten Komplexen unbekannter Struktur diskutiert. On the basis of the results of spectral informations in relation with the results of X-ray analysis of the first three compounds, bond posibilities of the CN group and the way of coordination at copper(I) and copper(II) in the investigated compounds of unknown structure are discussed.

Abstract: Aus dem System Cu2+-H2O-en-SeCN-wurden in Abhangigkeit von den Bedingungen zwei neue Komplexe hergestellt: Cu3en2(SeCN)(CN)3. H2O(I) und Cu3en2 (SeCN)2(CN)2. H2O(II). Ihre Untersuchung erfolgte mittels der Infrarot- und EPR-Spektroskopie sowie der Rontgendifraktion. Cu2+ liegt in diesen Komplexen durch zwei Athylendiamin- und eine Wassermolekel koordiniert vor. Die Anionliganden haben eine Bruckenfunktion und binden das einwertige Kupfer. Die EPR-Spektren zeigen, das die Ligandenfeldsymmetrie um das Cu2+- Atom bei den beiden Komplexen nicht gleich ist. Komplex (I) hat ein typisch axiales Spektrum mit zwei g-Faktorwerten g⊥2,18 und g⊥2,05, wahrend Komplex (II) ein asymmetrisches, isotropes Spektrum aufweist, mit einem Wert von g⊥2,07. Preparation and Some Characteristics of Copper(I)-Copper(II) Selenocyanates From the system Cu2+-H2O-en-SeCN-in dependence on the conditions two new complexes have been prepared: Cu3en2(SeCN)(CN)3· H2O(I) and Cu3en2(SeCN)2(CN)2· H2O(II). They were studied by the methods of infra-red and EPR spectra as well as by those of X-ray diffraction. It has been found that Cu2+ is coordinated in these complexes with two molecules of ethylene diamine and one molecule water. The anion ligands have a bridging function and coordinate the copper(I). The EPR spectra show that the two complexes exhibit around the atom Cu2+ have different ligand field symmetry. For complex (I) it is a typically axial spectrum with two values of the gfactor g⊥2.18 and g⊥2.05 while complex (II) has an asymmetrical isotropic spectrum with one g-factor value only g⊥2.07.
