A motion control device for a vehicle includes a braking means for applying a brake torque to each of a plurality of wheels of the vehicle, an avoidance control means for calculating a first target quantity, used for an avoidance control for applying the brake torque to each wheel via the braking means in order to avoid an emergency state of the vehicle, a stabilization control means for determining a target wheel, to which the brake torque is applied, out of the wheels and calculating a second target quantity used for a stabilization control for applying the brake torque to the target wheel in order to ensure a vehicle stability, and a brake control means for controlling the brake torque applied to a non-target wheel based on the first target quantity and controlling the brake torque applied to the target wheel based on the first and second target quantities.

In a vehicular brake force control apparatus, an engine brake force Feb is calculated; a road surface friction coefficient μ and a rear wheel degree of grip er is calculated ; and a threshold value Ke is calculated such that the threshold value Ke increases as the road surface friction coefficient μ becomes smaller. When the rear wheel degree of grip er is smaller than the threshold value Ke, it is determined that vehicle behavior of a vehicle is liable to become unstable when the engine brake force Feb acts. In this case, a sum of the engine brake force Feb and a target friction brake force Fbv based upon a steering operation amount of a driver is distributed to each wheel in accordance with a distribution that stabilizes the vehicle behavior of the vehicle. Based on this distribution result, a friction brake force and an output torque of the engine are controlled.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate control with road condition taken into consideration, in regard to a vehicle control device restricting under-steering condition and over-steering condition by controlling at least either one of braking force or driving force of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle control device computes the amount of operation for controlling action of a vehicle on the basis of a result of comparison of actual operating condition with the reference operating condition of the vehicle, and controls at least any one of braking force and driving force of the vehicle on the basis of the computed amount of operation. Since road condition in the progressing direction of the vehicle is detected to correct the amount of operation on the basis of the road condition, control based on the actual road condition is performed to accurately restrict under-steering and over-steering. Especially, the amount of operation is corrected on the basis of a result of comparison of the progressing direction of the vehicle estimated on the basis of the actual operating condition of the vehicle with the detected road condition, the amount of operation can be accurately corrected in response to a degree of displacement of the progressing direction of the vehicle in relation to the road direction. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique and a device having less sense of incompatibility and capable of improving safe performance, by automatically performing acceleration/deceleration interlocked with a handle operation to be operated from a daily driving region, and by reliably reducing sideslip in a limit driving region.SOLUTION: A motion control device of a vehicle that can control driving force and/or braking force of front wheels and rear wheels comprises: a controller for determining an acceleration/deceleration control command so that the vehicle performs curved transition on a diagram with the elapsed time, when defining the diagram that takes longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle in a horizontal axis and lateral acceleration of the vehicle in a vertical axis; and a braking force and driving force distribution part for determining the braking force and/or the driving force on the basis of the acceleration/deceleration control command.

A steered condition vehicle behavior improving apparatus is provided for a vehicle, wherein the vehicle is capable of running with a road wheel driven by a driving force from a power source. The steered condition vehicle behavior improving apparatus includes a steering operation detecting means and a driving force reducing means. The steering operation detecting means detects a steering operation of steering a steerable wheel of the vehicle. The driving force reducing means temporarily reduces the driving force to the road wheel a set time period after the steering operation is detected by the steering operation detecting means.

Device for improving vehicle behavior when steering

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maneuverability and controllability in turning a vehicle. SOLUTION: A vehicle condition is presumed from a deviation of actual yaw acceleration from desired yaw acceleration corresponding to a steering operation (S120). When a vehicle tends to be under steer(US), an engine output correction value ΔTEUP and desired slip ratios λ17, λ07 of a drive wheels of turning outer and inner wheels are calculated (S160, S170) and a throttle opening and brak oil pressure of the drive wheel are controlled (S200, S210) to generate a torque difference between the left and right drive wheels, so that yaw moment necessary for turning is generated. Also, when the vehicle to be over steer(OS), ΔTEUP, λiT and λoT are calculated, while the desired slip ratio λoTF of a turning outer wheel side drive wheel is calculated (S160, S170), and the throttle opening and the break pressure of the drive wheel and the turning outer wheel side drive wheel are controlled (S200, S210) so that yaw moment necessary for turning is generated by the torque difference between the left and right drive wheels and a driving force added to the drive wheel. As a result, the maneuverabilit and controllability in the vehicle turning can be together ensured.
