The present invention relates to a combined authentication card using fingerprint recognition and finger vein identification, comprising: a fingerprint recognition unit (502a) and/or a finger vein identification unit (502b) for generating and outputting fingerprint data and/or finger vein data by means of a person's finger; a card controller (501) for reading fingerprint data or finger vein data from the fingerprint recognition unit (502a) and/or the finger vein identification unit (502b) and determining whether the same matches fingerprint data and/or finger vein data stored in a card memory unit (503); and a data output unit (505) for transmitting, to an NFC electronic operation unit (506), a signal output from the card controller (501), wherein the signal is output as an ASCII value of zero or one to the NFC electronic operation unit (506).

Combined authentication card using biometrics

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent duplication or alteration of a credit card and confirm identity of an individual and prevent identity theft or misuse. SOLUTION: A tamper-proof secure card comprises biometric data of an individual for identifying or confirming authority of the individual. Prior to issuing the secure card a cardholder's biometric data is stored in a transparent biometric data section of the secure card. Also, a unique card number is created using a cardholder's biometric data and stored in the card. When the secure card is used and the cardholder inputs biometric data, the input biometric data is then compared to the biometric data stored in the card. If the input biometric data matches the stored biometric data, the identity of the cardholder is confirmed. The unique card number can be accessed.
