TL;DR: It was concluded that safe operation of the vehicle in traffic involves the successful ‘conduct’ of oneself, which recognises the importance of certain personality traits of professional drivers for traffic safety and the need for appropriate professional selection in the case of employment of professional Drivers.
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present basic elements of the research directed at identifying and determining the personality traits of professional drivers that affect safe, secure and enjoyable ride on public roads. A quantitative method has been used here, whereas data were acquired from a questionnaire based on a sample of 59 professional drivers. Determining personality traits of professional drivers that are in correlation with a safe and pleasant ride on the roads has been enabled by applying the five-factor model of personality ('Big Five') and the Personality Inventory NEO-PI. From these results it was concluded that safe operation of the vehicle in traffic involves the successful 'conduct' of oneself, which recognises the importance of certain personality traits of professional drivers for traffic safety and the need for appropriate professional selection in the case of employment of professional drivers. Research results implicate development of educational programmes aimed at achieving harmony of psychological, physical and sensory health, that is, programmes for permanent informing, educating and training professional drivers for defensive driving. The research opens the way for new research tasks that should help in creating a specific structure of curricula that can be used in a variety of transportation companies and enterprises to improve general and public safety.

TL;DR: In this article, a study was conducted to determine whether a statistically significant impact exists between management sophistication and certain factors, such as, for example, company size, business activity, ownership, etc., and between selected economic indicators.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine whether a statistically significant impact exists between management sophistication and certain factors, such as, for example, company size, business activity, ownership, etc., and between selected economic indicators. The study was conducted with the aid of quantitative research methods on a dedicated sample of 98 Slovenian companies. A questionnaire to assess the management of corporate policy was used for the acquisition of data. We found that the majority of the individual components of management sophistication in managing a company's corporate policy had a statistically significant impact in terms of the company's size, profit and added value per employee. A higher level of management sophistication in managing corporate policy depending on the type of capital was found in companies that have either foreign or mixed capital. The results of the study will be useful for both theorists and practitioners in the field of organisational policy as well as for those engaged in strategic management in companies and other organisations.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present research results on the influence of factors of sustainable water use training (management support of training, co-worker support, incentives for using skills acquired during training) and the influence on technical efficiency and employee efficiency.
Abstract: The aim of this article is to present research results on the influence of factors of sustainable water use training (management support of training, co-worker support of training, incentives for using skills acquired during training) and the influence of this training on technical efficiency and employee efficiency. The article is based on an empirical study of 328 medium and large companies in the Slovene processing industry. The findings show that the training factors have a statistically significant and positive effect on sustainable water use training and that training has a positive effect on technical efficiency. They also offer new theoretical knowledge as well as practical guidelines for anyone working in the sustainable development management of natural resources.
