Flavonoids in root bark of Pongamia pinnata

TL;DR: In this article, the ponganones III-XI from the root bark of Pongamia pinnata were determined to be (2 S )-3′,4′-dimethoxy-6″,6″-dimethylpyrano[2″,3″:7,8]-flavanone (III), (2S )-6, 3′, 4′, 5′-trimethoxy -6- O -γ,γdimethylallyl-3, 4]-methylenedioxy-6-
Journal ArticleDOI

Alkylamides from pericarps of Zanthoxylum bungeanum

TL;DR: In this paper, ten unsaturated alkylamides were isolated from the pericarps of Zanthoxylum bungeanum and three of them were identified as (2E,4E)-2′-hydroxy-N-isobutyl-2,4-tetradecadienamide (named tetrahydrobungeanool).
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure-activity correlation of flavonoids for inhibition of bovine lens aldose reductase.

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure-activity correlation of flavonoids for inhibition of aldose reductase was investigated and the presence of hydrophobic substituents on the A ring of the flavonoid skeleton was suggested to improve the potency of inhibitory activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flavonol glycosides from Epimedium sagittatum

TL;DR: In this article, two new flavonol glycosides were isolated from Epimedium sagittatum besides the known ones, icariin and icarisid I. On the basis of spectral analyses, the structures of the compounds were determined to be anhydroicaritin-3-O-α-rhamnoside and icarithin 3-O -α rhamnosides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three prenylflavanones from Euchresta japonica

TL;DR: Three new prenylflavanones, euchrenone a 1 − a 3, were isolated from the roots of Euchresta japonica as mentioned in this paper, and their structures were established by s
