Silica sulfuric acid as an efficient catalyst for the friedländer quinoline synthesis from simple ketones and ortho-aminoaryl ketones under microwave irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of quinoline derivatives via Friedlander method from ortho-aminoaryl ketones in the presence of a catalytic amount of silica sulfuric acid (SSA) under solvent-free condition and microwave irradiation was described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correction: Dendrimeric magnetic nanoparticle cores with Co-phthalocyanine tags and their application in the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives

TL;DR: In this paper, a new and rational method for the synthesis of Fe3O4@SiO2@Si3Cl based magnetic nanoparticles with amino cobalt phthalocyanine tags (ACoPc-MNPs) was described and these were evaluated as a reusable catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deprotection of Acetals and Ketals by Silica Sulfuric Acid and Wet SiO2

TL;DR: In this paper, a combination of silica sulfuric acid and wet SiO2 was used as an effective deacetalizating agent for the conversion of acetals to their corresponding carbonyl derivatives under thermal conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Saccharin sulfonic acid catalyzed N-Boc protection of amines and formation of tert-butyl ethers from alcohols

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of saccharin sulfonic acid (SaSA) with chlorosulfonic acid at room temperature was shown to catalyze the conversion of amines to their corresponding N-Boc protected amines with (Boc)2O. All reactions took place under mild conditions giving the desired products in good to high yields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regeneration of carbonyl compounds by cleavage of CN bonds under mild and completely heterogeneous conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, a combination of Zr(HSO4)4 and wet SiO2 was used to convert Oximes, hydrazones, semicarbazones, and azines to carbonyl compounds.
