Journal ArticleDOI
Synthetic fibers in atmospheric fallout: A source of microplastics in the environment?
TL;DR: The atmospheric fallout of microplastics was investigated in two different urban and sub-urban sites and a rough estimation was shown showing that between 3 and 10 tons of fibers are deposited by atmospheric fallout at the scale of the Parisian agglomeration every year.
Journal ArticleDOI
Field performance of two biofiltration systems treating micropollutants from road runoff.
Kelsey Flanagan,Philippe Branchu,Lila Boudahmane,Emilie Caupos,Dominique Demare,Steven Deshayes,Philippe Dubois,Laurent Meffray,Chandirane Partibane,Mohamed Saad,Marie-Christine Gromaire +10 more
TL;DR: Low removals were observed for total concentrations of moderately particulate micropollutants, including bisphenol-A, alkylphenols and phthalates during the first months of operation of the biofiltration swale.
Journal ArticleDOI
Origins and characteristics of urban wet weather pollution in combined sewer systems: the experimental urban catchment “Le Marais” in Paris
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental urban catchment has been created in the centre of Paris, in order to obtain a description of the pollution of urban wet weather flows at different levels of the combined sewer system, and to estimate the contribution of runoff, waste water and sewer sediments to this pollution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of substrate depth and rain-event history on the pollutant abatement of green roofs
TL;DR: The column showed, however, lower SS, DOC and metal concentrations in the percolate than could be observed in the field even if corrected for run-off, most probably due to the difference in exposition history and weathering processes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microplastics and microfibers in urban runoff from a suburban catchment of Greater Paris
Robin Treilles,Johnny Gasperi,Anaïs Gallard,Mohamed Saad,Rachid Dris,Chandirane Partibane,Jérôme Breton,Bruno Tassin +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the variability of microlitter concentrations in stormwater runoff at the outlet of the suburban catchment at Sucy-en-Brie (a suburb of Paris, France), during four rain events.
