Near-Field Microwave Imaging Using Open-Ended Circular Waveguide Probes

TL;DR: In this paper, the utility of circular waveguide probes for near-field imaging was discussed in detail and compared with the conventional rectangular probe, which is the reason behind utilizing the circular probe is the fact that its aperture field distribution yields lower side lobes.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Applied microwave imaging of composite structures using open-ended circular waveguide

TL;DR: In this article, a custom made Teflon loaded circular waveguide is employed for inspection of defects in a test sample and the sensitivity of the circular probe to air inclusions in the composite is checked at 24 GHz by analysing the electric field variation at the defected layers.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Near-field microwave imaging using open-ended circular waveguides

TL;DR: In this paper, the utility of circular waveguides for near-field imaging is discussed in detail, and both the sensitivity and spatial resolution of such a nearfield probe are investigated using simulations and measurements.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Surface defects mapping using microwaves and ultrasonic phased array imaging

TL;DR: In this article, a practical evaluation of the capabilities of these two techniques for surface defect imaging is presented and discussed, and the resulting C-scan images of the two systems are reported and compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Field Performance of Bitumen Emulsion Cold Central Plant Recycling (CCPR) Mixture with Same Day and Delayed Overlay Compared with Traditional Rehabilitation Procedures

TL;DR: A pavement rehabilitation demonstration project using cold recycled mixture with bitumen emulsion (CRM-E) as binder course with 100% RAP was carried out on August 25, 2020 as mentioned in this paper .
