Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-biofilm activity of biogenic selenium nanoparticles and selenium dioxide against clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Proteus mirabilis.
Mojtaba Shakibaie,Hamid Forootanfar,Yaser Golkari,Tayebe Mohammadi-Khorsand,Mohammad Reza Shakibaie +4 more
TL;DR: Results revealed that selenium nanoparticles inhibited the biofilm of S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, and P. mirabilis by 42%, 34.3%, and 53.4%, respectively, compared to that of the non-treated samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibiotic resistance patterns and extended-spectrum β-lactamase production among Acinetobacter spp. isolated from an intensive care Unit of a hospital in Kerman, Iran
TL;DR: Many isolates of Acinetobacter spp.
Journal Article
Horizontal transfer of antibiotic resistance genes among gram negative bacteria in sewage and lake water and influence of some physico-chemical parameters of water on conjugation process.
TL;DR: The isolates from sewage were more resistant to different antibiotics as compared to those from lake water, indicating that physico-chemical parameters of water may play role in this process.
Journal Article
Cadmium bioremediation by metal-resistant mutated bacteria isolated from active sludge of industrial effluent
TL;DR: Based on the data obtained in this study, it can be concluded that biomass of this bacterium can be used for bioremediation of cadmium from industrial waste processing plants with high efficiency.
