Cryptography protects the data stored in the network from unauthorized access. It is very essential to transfer data with high security. Biometrics is a unique part of human beings and it is a widely-known person authenticator. The exchange of all medical data has been done across the globe abundantly. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption algorithm is used for high security and it is most powerful cryptographic algorithm. This algorithm is widely preferred because of its long term security and has wide range of application and protocols. Protecting data over the network has become a significant issue due to enormous exchange of sensitive information takes place. Cryptography is used for secret information transmission in various fields like hospitals, research, medical applications etc., This article is a survey of familiar encryption techniques from which researches can acquire conception of suitable techniques to be used.

Survey on Image Encryption Schemes, Bio cryptography and Efficient Encryption Algorithms

This article aims to focus on encryption based algorithm on ASCII value and Random number generator. Proposed algorithm has been developed with the view to achieve data security and prevent unauthorized persons from meddling with such secret data. An ASCII based conversion has been implemented to encrypt shorter length messages through a symmetric key. The algorithm specifically accommodates the concept of random number generation that makes it tough for the hackers to decrypt despite accidentally discovering the key. This concept also involves floating point numbers for encryption to enhance the difficulty level of cryptanalysis. Hence this algorithm will provide an efficient way to make it almost impossible for the intruders to track the message.

An Encryption Algorithm Functioning on ASCII Values and Random Number Generation

Digital image compression is a technique that
allows to reduce the size of an image in order to increase the
capacity storage devices and to optimize the use of network
bandwidth. The quality of compressed images with the
techniques based on the discrete cosine transform or the
wavelet transform is generally measured with PSNR or
SSIM. Theses metrics are not suitable to images compressed
with the singular values decomposition. This paper presents
a new metric based on the energy ratio to measure the
quality of the images coded with the SVD. A series of tests
on 512 × 512 pixels images show that, for a rank k = 40
corresponding to a SSIM = 0,94 or PSNR = 35 dB, 99,9% of
the energy are restored. Three areas of image quality
assessments were identified. This new metric is also very
accurate and could overcome the weaknesses of PSNR and
SSIM.

Image Compression with SVD : A New Quality Metric Based On Energy Ratio

Objective: The foremost goal of this paper is to upgrade the security of information and processing speed utilizing symmetric cryptographic technique based on ASCII value while transferring of information. The idea of this paper is to produce an encoded content by giving plain text enter to symmetric cryptographic based on ASCII value and getting decoded text as original text as original text by giving encrypted text symmetric cryptographic based on ASCII value. Method: In this paper, we have proposed an algorithm which is established on the ASCII value to encode a plaintext. This algorithm randomly generates a key for the person having a length equivalent to the length of the plaintext. The randomly generated key is modified to one other key via substitution of position of key utilizing a random number and is used to decode decrypt the message of original plaintext. Finding: GUI interface was developed using Java Net Beans IDE 8.0. Entire outcomes have obtained using a computer with the following specifications: Intel Core i3 CPU and 1GB RAM. Improvement: Besides the proposed algorithm utilized for this exploration, the other chance of utilizing different algorithm will be executed in future work.

Performance Evaluation of Encryption/Decryption Mechanisms to Enhance Data Security

Nowadays the data are transmitted in the form of images, graphics, audio and video. These types of data require a lot of storage capacity and transmission bandwidth. Consequently, the theory of data compression becomes more significant for reducing the data redundancy in order to save more transfer and storage of data. In this context, this paper addresses the problem of the lossy compression of images. This proposed method is based on Block SVD Power Method that overcomes the disadvantages of Matlab’s SVD function. The quantitative and visual results are showing the superiority of the proposed compression method over those of Matlab’s SVD function and some different compression techniques in the state-of-the-art. In addition, the proposed approach is simple and can provide different degrees of error resilience, which gives, in a short execution time, a better image compression.

An Application of Linear Algebra to Image Compression

Image encryption is one of the most methods of info rmation hiding. A novel secure encryption method fo r image encryption is presented in this study. The pr oposed algorithm based on using singular value decomposition SVD. In this study we start to scramb le the image data according to suggested keys (two sequence scrambling process with two different keys ) to finally create two different matrices. The dia gonal matrix from the SVD will be interchanged with the r esulted matrices. Another scrambling and diagonal matrices interchange will apply to increase the com plexity. The resulted two matrices combine to one matrix according to predefined procedure. The encrypted image is a meaningfull image. The suggested method tested with many images encryption and gives promised results.

Image encryption based on singular value decomposition

In this study we will provide a new way of images compression based on two mathematic concepts, these two concepts are Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and Block Truncation Coding. The input image either is in JPEG format or in BMP format and the current way suitable for both color and gray scale images. The input image will be compressed first by reducing the image matrix rank, which achieved by using the SVD process and then the result matrix compressed by using BTC. The proposed algorithm gives further lossless compression to JPEG compression process and the rate of compression reach more than 99%.
