Multiple energy applications of quantum-dot sensitized TiO2/PbS/CdS and TiO2/CdS/PbS hierarchical nanocomposites synthesized via p-SILAR technique

TL;DR: In this paper, a pseudo-successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (p-SILAR) process was opted for deposition of PbS/CdS and CdS/PbS quantum-dots (QDs) on TiO2 to combine light absorbing tendency of pbS and cdS QDs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tactical modification of pseudo-SILAR process for enhanced quantum-dot deposition on TiO2 and ZnO nanoparticles for solar energy applications

TL;DR: In this article, a modification of pseudo successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (p-SILAR) process is used to develop quantum-dot (QD) sensitized nanocomposites (NCs) via QDs deposition on metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Simplistic wet-chemical coalescence of ZnO with Al2O3 and SnO2 for enhanced photocatalytic and electrochemical performance

TL;DR: In this article, a wet-chemical route for the development of Al2O3-ZnO and SnO2−ZnOsO hierarchical heterostructures (HHSs) was opted to enhance the photocatalytic and electrochemical properties of SnO 2 and Al 2O3 nanoparticles, which significantly increased the degradation of Congo red dye under ultraviolet irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new insight into solar paint concept: regeneration of CuS nanoparticles for paintable counter electrodes in QDSSCs

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on regenerating crystalline CuS nanoparticles (NPs) from residual solution of CBD and then utilizing them for paintable counter electrodes (CEs) fabricated by chemical bath deposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Engineered biochar derived from pyrolyzed waste tea as a carbon support for Fe-N-C electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction

TL;DR: In this paper , a platinum metal group (PGM-free) electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) were synthesized by ball milling of activated biochar and Fe(II) phthalocyanine.
