Journal Article
Use of herbs and spices and their extracts in animal nutrition
TL;DR: A review of present literature data on the usage of plant extracts in poultry, pig and ruminant nutrition is reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of different vitamin E recommendations and bioactivity of α-tocopherol isomers in broiler nutrition by measuring oxidative stress in vivo and the oxidative stability of meat
TL;DR: It is concluded that both vitamin E concentrations were insufficient to prevent all harmful effects of lipid oxidation in vivo and that both were equally effective, and to ensure good stability of meat lipids, higher vitamin E supplementation is needed, especially after heat treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of α-tocopherol, sweet chestnut wood extract and their combination on oxidative stress in vivo and the oxidative stability of meat in broilers
TL;DR: It can be concluded that neither of the α-T concentrations were able to prevent all the negative effects of lipid oxidation in vivo and only high concentrations ofα-T improved the stability of meat.
