Experimental and computational studies of the influence of non-ionic surfactants with coumarin moiety as corrosion inhibitors for carbon steel in 1.0 M HCl

TL;DR: In this paper , two nonionic surfactants were prepared followed by structure confirmation using H1NMR, IR and so their surface activity were studied and the application of these compounds in the field of acid corrosion inhibitors was investigated by several empirical and computational methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic studies on the interaction between some amino acids with some rare earth metal ions in aqueous solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the interactions between the amino acids (glycine and l -threonine) with some rare earth metal ions (Pr3+, Nd3+, Eu3+, Gd3, Dy3+, Ho3+ and Yb3+) were studied at a wide range from ionic strengths (0.07-0.32 m KNO3) and temperatures (25-45 m K NO3) in aqueous solutions by using Bjerrum potentiometric method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ion‐Solvent Interaction of Biunivalent Electrolytes in Dioxane‐Water Mixtures from Conductivity Data at Different Temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, conductivity measurements for some alkaline earth metal salts were reported in the concentration range in dioxane-water mixtures at mass fraction of 0, 3, 10, 20 and 30% at 30°, 35°, 40° and 45°C ± 0.01.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic Study of Complexation Phenomena of Some Alkaline Earth Metal (II) Complexes in Propanol-1-Water Mixtures at Various Temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, the stability constants of Mg 2, Ca 2 +, Sr 2 + and Ba 2 + perchlorates with 2,4-diamino-3,5-dicyanothiophene (DADCT) have been determined at 15, 25, 35, 45 and 55 °C in 10, 20 and 30% (w/w) propanol-1-water mixtures using the conductometric technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic Study of the Ion‐Pairing of Some Transition Metal Perchlorates in Urea‐Water Mixtures from Conductivity Measurements

TL;DR: In this article, the conductivity of some transition metal perchlorates, M(ClO 4 ) 2 (M 2 + = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn) has been measured in urea-water mixtures at 288-318 K. The limiting molar conductivities and the ion association constant of these electrolytes were calculated by the Shedlovsky extrapolation method.
