Synergistic association of endophytic fungi enhances Glycine max L. resilience to combined abiotic stresses: Heavy metals, high temperature and drought stress

TL;DR: In this paper, the interactive effects of hormone (gibberellins and indole-3-acetic acid)-producing and combined multi-abiotic stresses (heavy metals; Ni, Cd, and Al, drought resistant, high temperature) resistant Paecilomyces formosus LHL10 and Penicillium funiculosum LHL06 on Glycine max L. max in metal-contaminated soil in semiarid and high-temperature conditions for sustainable agriculture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Melatonin: Awakening the Defense Mechanisms during Plant Oxidative Stress.

TL;DR: It is shown that, although plants are able to biosynthesize melatonin, the exogenous application of melatonin to various crops can improve plant growth and development in response to various abiotic and biotic stresses by regulating antioxidant machinery of plants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Halotolerant Rhizobacterial Strains Mitigate the Adverse Effects of NaCl Stress in Soybean Seedlings

TL;DR: The results showed that the salt stress-resistant microorganism used in these experiments could be a potential biofertilizer to mitigate the detrimental effects of salt stress in plants via regulation of phytohormones and gene expression.
Journal ArticleDOI

Plant growth-promoting endophytic bacteria augment growth and salinity tolerance in rice plants.

TL;DR: The pragmatic application of the above selected strains alleviated the adverse effects of NaCl stress and enhanced rice growth attributes by producing various phytohormones.
