Scale levels of damage to the raceway of a spherical roller bearing

Taking the CY4105 crankshaft mould as the research target, this paper introduced the CNC machining method based on CAD/CAM technique. At first, structure of the mould was introduced. Then, machining method was introduced, including blank setting method, cutting tool selection, machining method selection and technological parameters setting method. After that, generation method of the mould machining programs was introduced, including tool path and G codes generation. At last, the mould was machined by a vertical machining center, and the results show that the machining accuracy is high.

Crankshaft Mould CNC Machining Based on CAD/CAM Technique

Physical and mechanical regularities in the effect of certain processing operations on the shape and roughness of the hydraulic cylinder surface are found. The mechanisms of the spatial self-organization of the relief and surface of bearings under conditions of false brinelling are summarized and analyzed. The data obtained can be used for further scientific generalization or prediction and diagnostics of the surface condition of load-carrying and support elements of mechanical systems under study.

Analysis of inner surface roughness parameters of load-carrying and support elements of mechanical systems (research note)

The article is devoted to increasing of the durability of technological equipment elements, forecasting of the resource and diagnostics of failures of the technical system. The basic regularities are analyzed and causes of the failure of the extruder’s working body shaft are determined. For torque values M = 40.74 - 64.37 N·m and of the extruder’s working body shaft, the stress-strain state of the contact surfaces of the keyhole of the extruder’s shaft is calculated by the method of three-dimensional finite element modelling. The maximum values of the stress intensity σint(max), which arise on the edge of the key groove, are calculated. It was established that an increase in the distance of the key groove to the fillet of the working body shaft by 2.0 mm leads to a decrease in the maximum stresses on the edge of the key groove by 15.72%. The results of the research allow optimizing the geometry of the shaft.

Based on the accurate 3D model of logarithmic spiral bevel gear, the operation of spiral cone gear engagement is analyzed and simulated by ANSYS. Through the nonlinear static contact analysis of different positions, the stress change rule and the maximum contact stress is obtained. Compared with the theoretical contact stress strength rule, this paper also analyzes the dynamic operation situation of the gear pairs, obtains the dynamic contact situation rule at different engagement times and different rotating speeds, the influence of the rotating speed on the gear contact characteristics is compared too. The static, dynamic performance and change rules of the gear engagement is obtained, which lay a solid foundation for the further research, design and manufacture of spiral bevel gears.

Dynamic Simulation and Analysis of Engagement Process for Logarithmic Spiral Bevel Gear Based on Accurate 3D Model

The results are considered of the investigations into the reasons and mechanisms of wear of the hinge-lever tilting mechanism bearings of the continuous billet casting machine mold operating in the rolling motion mode. The types of defects of the outer and inner rings of the bearing are determined, as well as their shape and relative position. The optical and electron- microscopic analysis of the surface of the defect is performed. It is established that the static and dynamic loading parameters have a significant effect on the mechanisms of friction and wear, as well as on the formation of dents in the bearing races. The results obtained allow assessing the reasons for wear of the hinge-lever tilting mechanism bearings, and laying the ground for the development of the technique for their elimination or minimization.
