TL;DR: AOM 400 delayed the time to and reduced the rate of recurrence of mood episodes and was generally safe and well tolerated, which support the use of AOM 400 for maintenance treatment of BP-I.

TL;DR: Overall, the need for rescue medication during the maintenance phase was minimal and patient satisfaction levels were high, with both de novo and rollover patients rating the side effect burden of AOM 400 as greatly improved relative to previous medications.
