TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method where a plurality of heat exchangers are connected by a communicating tube so that the heat transfer tubes thereof are arranged in series while at least a heat exchanger is connected to the refrigerant pipeline of a refrigerating cycle.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve comfortability, by a method wherein a plurality of heat exchangers are connected by a communicating tube so that the heat transfer tubes thereof are arranged in series while at least a heat exchanger is connected to the refrigerant pipeline of a refrigerating cycle, in the heat exchangers for a ceiling embedded cassette type air-conditioning machine. CONSTITUTION: Gas refrigerant enters from the refrigerant passage 11-1 of a heat exchanger 6-1 as shown by an arrow sign and is changed in a heat transfer tube from refrigerant of an overheating gas refrigerant area into refrigerant of gas and liquid 2-phase refrigerant area. Then, it flows into the heat exchanger 6-2 through a communicating tube 7a under the condition of the gas and liquid 2-phase refrigerant area and, then, is changed into the condition of overcooled liquid refrigerant area. Subsequently, the refrigerant is returned to the heat exchanger 6-1 through the communicating tube 7b and flows into the refrigerant pipeline of a refrigerating cycle. Accordingly, the overcooled liquid refrigerant area is distributed through the heat exchangers 6-a, 6-2 substantially equally, whereby air with an uniform temperature may be blown off through respective surfaces of air blow-off ports. According to this constitution, the blow-off temperatures of a plurality of blow-off ports may be equalized and the comfortability of an air-conditioning machine may be improved. TL;DR: In this article, an air direction adjusting vane is operated such that the major stream 4'' is blown downwardly in a direction of 60 degrees at a downward blowing position 2'' and an air variation width is a large value of 60 deg. in respect to a rotational angle of 25 deg.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an air direction adjusting device for an air conditioner capable of stabilizing an air direction, extending an air reaching distance and increasing substantially a variation width of the air direction by a method wherein a sectional shape of an air direction adjusting vane is of a triangular shape. CONSTITUTION:An air direction adjusting vane 2 is gradually widened from its upstream side and has a wind stream line of triangular shape with a curvature and a sectional shape converged at a curvature of a half of the widened sectional width near a blowing port. This vane is rotated around the center of the converging curvature. A major flow 3 of blowing air is gradually changed in its direction along the upstream side of the vane and finally varied up to a angle which is approximately horizontal. A sub-flow of air 4 is flowed along the downstream surface of the air direction adjusting vane 2 and finally absorbed into the major flow 3. In this way, the major flow and sub-flow are made integral or merged together to make a stable air direction and at the same time the damping rate of air speed is reduced and an air reaching distance is extended. The air direction adjusting vane is operated such that the major stream 4'' is blown downwardly in a direction of 60 deg. at a downward blowing position 2'' and an air variation width is a large value of 60 deg. in respect to a rotational angle of 25 deg..
