A portable TV telephone includes an objective lens system. The objective lens system is configured to form an image of an object. An antenna is configured to transmit and receive at least one of said image of the object, a dial number and a voice carried by radio waves. A display is configured to display at least one of the image of the object and the dial number. The objective lens system includes a first negative lens unit and a second positive lens unit in order from an object side. An aperture stop is disposed between the first lens unit and said second lens unit. In one embodiment, the first lens and the second lens each have a lens barrel configured to position the respective lens units such that circumferences of the lens units contact interior walls of the portable TV telephone. In another embodiment, the first lens unit and the second lens unit are cemented at outer circumferential portions outside an effective diameter through which rays transmit.

A liquid-immersion type objective lens system for microscopes comprising a first lens unit which comprises a plano-convex lens component or a plano-convex lens component having a cemented surface strongly convex on the image side and a positive lens component, a second lens unit which has a positive refractive power, and comprises a cemented surface having a strongly negative refractive power and allows a converging light bundle to emerge therefrom, and a third lens unit having a negative refractive power. The object system is configured so as to be capable of correcting variations of aberrations by moving the second lens unit relative to the first lens unit and the third lens unit in accordance with a thickness of a cover glass plate used in combination with the objective lens system.

Immersion microscope objective lens system

A microscope objective lens of the present having, in the order from the object side, a first lens group, a second lens group and a third lens group. The first lens group comprises a meniscus lens with its concave surface facing the object side and a plurality of cemented lenses, and has a positive refractive power on the whole. The second lens group comprises a plurality of cemented lenses and has a positive refractive power on the whole. PURPOSE:To obtain a microscope objective lens which is bright and low in cost and has various aberrations excellently compensated by using a radial type gradient index lens which has a specific refractive index distribution radially from an optical axis. CONSTITUTION:This radial type gradient index lens consists of two lenses respectively having a refractive index distribution radially from the optical axis represented as N(r)=N00+N10r +N20r +... Here, (r) is the radial distance from the optical axis, N00... is the refractive index on the optical axis, and N10, N20... are coefficients of 2nd order, 4th order.... The material of the radial type gradient index lens has refracting power, so the single lens itself has the degree of freedom of aberration compensation, such as the compensation of the Petzval's sum and chromatic aberration, that a homogeneous lens does not have. This lens consists of the 1st and 2nd lenses having positive refracting powers respectively and the refracting powers phi1 and phi2 of the 1st and 2nd lenses are preferably in relation phi1/phi2>1 so as to obtain a lens with >=0.2 NA.
