Optimizing Islamic education plays an important role in preparing Indonesian citizens to excel in quality in terms of education in welcoming Indonesia's golden era. Optimizing education leads to maximizing human resources, especially for school students. They are the main encouragement during the golden era because they are entering a productive period. This article aims to provide an understanding of how important educational factors are in preparing for the golden age of Indonesia by analyzing the urgency and designing the steps to be used. This study uses the library research method, using pragmatic content analysis, thematic content analysis, analysis of sign means, continued by processing it into new data where the results of this study are the exposure of optimizing education to reach the golden era of Indonesia from reviewing and analyzing and integrating various related reference sources.

Optimizing Islamic Education Towards the Golden Era of Indonesia

ABSTRACT This article explores the challenges local youth workers face at the intersection of providing social care and detecting violent extremism. Extremism and other radical ideologies are often assumed to be a harbinger of terrorism. Even though both are still a rare phenomenon among adolescents, European states have become highly concerned with being alert to early signs of radicalisation processes. As a result, youth workers as well as other local professionals have been confronted with the task of detecting these early signs. However, despite training and increased knowledge, the question remains whether youth workers are sufficiently equipped to assess potential risks in youth who show no concrete plans for criminal action. In these cases, prevention targets ideas rather than violent behaviour. This article details qualitative results of a case study among Dutch youth workers and suggests that no clear framework exists for detection of radicalisation processes into (violent) extremism. This has two main causes. Firstly, the concepts of radicalisation and (violent) extremism are in practice difficult to distinguish. Secondly, the youth worker's judgement often relies more on individual perceptions rather than evidence-based criteria to identify potential ‘risky’ persons. This situation may lead to undesired side effects such as executive arbitrariness, prejudice or stigmatisation.

Abstract Much attention has been given to interreligious dialogue in recent decades. However, less attention has been devoted to models that support citizenship through Islamic religious education in secondary education. Based on Lipman’s Philosophy for Children, Hashim developed the Hikmah model. This model contributes to cognitive, social, and affective skills of Muslim pupils. A theoretical framework regarding interreligious education and the Hikmah model exploring the didactic opportunities is given. The explorative qualitative research aims to explore the potential of the Hikmah model for Islamic religious education (IRE) in Francophone secondary education.
