PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which is used for catching insects, has a high insect-catching property, and enables the simple and sure removal of the caught insects from building materials, furniture, tools, or the like without contacting with the bodies of the insects, and to provide a method for catching and killing the insects with the composition or an aerosol agent. SOLUTION: This composition for catching insects comprises a propellant and contents containing a nonionic surfactant and a non-adhesive resin soluble in dimethyl ether. When an aerosol agent in which the content of the propellant excluding an inorganic gas component is <=60 wt.% or the content of the non- adhesive resin is <=20 wt.% is sprayed on an insect, the insect is covered with the aerosol agent to form a cocoon-like product. The insect can simply and surely be caught by the formation of the cocoon-like product, released from a building material, furniture, tool or the like in the form of the non-adhesive resin, and then thrown away.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retarding technique of an aerosol agent for capturing an insect by covering the insect with a resin. SOLUTION: A composition containing the resin is filled in an aerosol vessel and the composition is sprayed against an insect to capture the insect by covering it with the resin. The composition of the insect capturing aerosol agent is compounded with a flame retardant. Since the composition is compounded with the flame retardant, the flame of the sprayed material is quickly extinguished even if the composition is ignited by the use of the aerosol near a gas stove, and the like. There is no danger of the scorching of materials in a house because the flame of the sprayed agent attached to the surface of wall, floor, or the like, is quickly extinguished. SOLUTION: The cover is made of fibers and has a cold insulating agent housing portion in which the cold insulating agent is housed.
