Bromination of Tetraazaporphine and Its β-Substituted Derivatives Using Pyridine as Solvent and Catalyst

TL;DR: The selectivity and degree of bromination of pyrrole rings in porphyrazine strongly depend on the brominating agent and solvent nature as mentioned in this paper, and increasing bromine substitution enhances its acidic properties.
