TL;DR: In this paper, a system is configured to obtain cursor information that identifies a manner in which a cursor is moved relative to a display of a document; compare the cursor information to the first cursor sequence and the second cursor sequence; determine, based on a result of comparing the cursor-based information to both the first and second cursor sequences, that the hover event occurred when the cursor based information more closely matched the first sequence than the second sequence; and perform an action based on determining that the event occurred.
