OCR error correction using correction patterns and self-organizing migrating algorithm

TL;DR: This paper proposes a novel approach of OCR post-processing error correction using correction pattern edits and evolutionary algorithm which has been mainly used for solving optimization problems.
Book ChapterDOI

An In-depth Analysis of OCR Errors for Unconstrained Vietnamese Handwriting.

TL;DR: In this paper, an attention-based encoder-decoder model for unconstrained Vietnamese handwriting was used to identify various kinds of Vietnamese OCR errors and their possible causes, and the statistical analyses were done on training and test sets of a benchmark database to infer whether the test set is the appropriate representative of the training set regarding the OCR error characteristics.
Book ChapterDOI

OCR Error Correction for Vietnamese OCR Text with Different Edit Distances

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors proposed the algorithm of generating correction candidates with different edit distances and evaluated their performance on the VNOnDB database used in the Vietnamese online handwritten text recognition competition (VOHTR 2018).
Journal ArticleDOI

An Efficient Unsupervised Approach for OCR Error Correction of Vietnamese OCR Text

TL;DR: In this paper , an unsupervised approach for OCR error correction is proposed, where correction characters are extracted from only original ground truth texts, which do not depend on OCR texts in training data.
