Journal ArticleDOI
Full-Inversion Tillage and Organic Carbon Distribution in Soil Profiles: A Meta-Analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the literature in which soil organic C profiles have been measured under paired no-till and full-inversion tillage (FIT) situations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chamber Measurements of Soil Nitrous Oxide Flux: Are Absolute Values Reliable?
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a minimum set of criteria for reliable soil N 2 O flux measurements using non-flow-through non-steady-state (NFT-NSS) chambers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Soil nitrous oxide emissions following band-incorporation of fertilizer nitrogen and swine manure.
Martin H. Chantigny,Philippe Rochette,Denis A. Angers,Shabtai Bittman,Katherine E. Buckley,Daniel I. Massé,Gilles Bélanger,Nikita Eriksen-Hamel,Marc-Olivier Gasser +8 more
TL;DR: The large N2O emission coefficients measured in many treatments, and the contradicting responses among N sources depending on soil type, indicate that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) default value may seriously underestimate N1O emissions from fine-textured soils where fertilizer N and manure are band-incorporated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Yield and Nutrient Export of Grain Corn Fertilized with Raw and Treated Liquid Swine Manure
Martin H. Chantigny,Denis A. Angers,Gilles Bélanger,Philippe Rochette,Nikita Eriksen-Hamel,Shabtai Bittman,Katherine E. Buckley,Daniel I. Massé,Marc-Olivier Gasser +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, liquid swine manure (LSM) is treated with anaerobic digestion, flocculation, filtration, or natural decantation to grain corn on a clay and a loam soil.
