In recent years enormous growth has taken place in the hybrid vehicle sector; parallel architecture is the most widespread configuration regarding medium size cars. At the same time, storage systems and power electronics have experienced some important innovations. The development of supercapacitors has permitted management of high power with elevated efficiency. Moreover, the availability on the market of silicon carbide components has allowed a significant reduction of power electronic losses. These improvements may challenge the hybrid architecture used in medium size cars nowadays. On one hand, series architecture would relevantly benefit from an electric powertrain efficiency increase, on the other hand, these innovations would generate low benefits in parallel architectures. The aim of this paper is to evaluate electric component average efficiency over different road missions, in order to estimate fuel economy over various working conditions and finally to establish which hybrid configuration is most efficient in vehicle applications.

Advantages of Using Supercapacitors and Silicon Carbide on Hybrid Vehicle Series Architecture

An electrochemical dynamical model of Li-ion battery system is proposed based on its internal electrochemical process and mass transferring. The model shows the internal connection of the states of the Li-ion battery system. With the assumption of the constant electrolyte concentration, the dynamical model is simplified and discretized such that an identification algorithm based on the least square estimation method is proposed to estimate the main parameters of the Li-ion battery systems. Simulation results verify the proposed identification algorithm.

Modeling and identification of Li-ion battery based on electrochemical dynamics

In this paper describe a model of li-ion battery. In which, the parameters are calculated from modeling and simulation to develop the domestic application. This paper, deal along the electrical modeling of li-ion battery using optimization technique. The results of li ion battery are optimized by use of genetic algorithm. The circuit parameters of battery model are calculated via with genetic algorithm basic optimized process to perform best results. The first purpose of this paper is to comprehend the electrical performance of this battery over experimentations test in the similar environmental situation. The second aim of this paper is to check about battery models along with varies stages Such as frequent changing in state-of-charge (SOC) of the battery. These are verified in MATLAB R2010a.

In this paper describe a harmony search algorithm which is applied on battery. This paper, deal with the li-ion battery model with dc machine application. From modeling and simulation, the battery parameters are designed like a state of charge (SOC), battery power (P), battery current (i bat ) and battery voltage (VOC). The outcomes of li ion battery are optimized using harmony search algorithm in the domestic application. The first resolution of this paper is to know the performance of this battery through experimentations test. The second aim of this paper is to detect value of battery models at different-2 iteration of harmony search algorithm. In this paper, all results are verified in MATLAB R2010a.
