A location tagged data provision and display system. A personal communication device (PCD) with electromagnetic communication capability has a GPS receiver and a display. The PCD requests maps and location tagged data from data providers and other for display on the PCD. The data providers respond to requests by using searching and sorting schemes to interrogate data bases and then automatically transmitting data responsive to the requests to the requesting PCD.

This suppresses a first electric-motor rotation speed, determined with an engine rotation speed and a power transmitting member rotation speed based on the relationship on mutually relative rotation speeds in the differential portion, from increasing to a high level. A control apparatus for a vehicular drive system including an electric differential portion and a mechanical power transmitting portion which are disposed in series in a power transmitting path between an engine and a drive wheel of a vehicle, the control apparatus being configured to limit an output of the engine according to a difference between an actual rotating speed of an input rotary member of the mechanical power transmitting portion, and a theoretical rotating speed calculated from an actual vehicle speed and a presently established speed ratio of the mechanical power transmitting portion, whereby reduction of torque capacity of an input clutch provided in the mechanical power transmitting portion does not cause an excessive rise of the rotating speed of a rotary member which is located on one side of the input clutch nearer to the engine, and an excessive rise of the rotating speed of an electric motor connected to the input rotary member.

Control apparatus for vehicular drive system

Provided is a hydraulic control device, in which a linear solenoid valve (SLC3) is constituted in a normal open type so that it outputs an application pressure for a clutch (C-3) even if it is turned OFF. On the basis of the application pressure of a clutch (C-2), on the other hand, a first clutch apply relay valve (121) outputs a first preparatory oil pressure at first to third forward speed stages, and outputs a second preparatory oil pressure at fourth to sixth forward speed stages. A second clutch apply relay valve (122) feeds hydraulic servos (41 and 42) at a normal time with the controlpressures of linear solenoid valves (SLC1 and SLC2), respectively, and the hydraulic servos (41 and 42) at an all-off fail time with the first preparatory oil pressure (PDC1) or the second preparatory oil pressure (PDC2), so that it applies the clutch (C-1) or the clutch (C-2) thereby to achieve a forward third speed stage or a forward fifth speed stage. In short, the hydraulic control device canbe made compact and can cut costs, although it can achieve a low-speed stage or a high-speed stage at the all off-fail time.

A control system of an automatic transmission has a fluid transmission apparatus (12) connected to an engine (10); input speed detecting device (49) for detecting an input-end rotational speed of the hydraulic transmission apparatus; output speed detecting device (47) for detecting an output-end rotational speed of the hydraulic transmission apparatus; and drive-wheel idle rotation determining device (93) for determining whether the rotational speed ratio of the output-end rotational speed to the input-end rotational speed is equal to or greater than a predetermined value. If the rotational speed ratio is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, the determining device determines that a drive wheel is idly rotating. Thus the control system has only to calculate the input-end and output-end rotational speeds of the hydraulic transmission apparatus, and does not need to determine a change of the rotational speed of the output shaft of a transmission apparatus. The control system therefore eliminates the need to monitor the rotational speed of the output shaft, enabling quick detection of idle rotation of a drive wheel and, consequently, quick decision as to whether to inhibit a shift.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect slipping of a driving wheel in a short of time and judge whether to prohibit speed change or not in a short of time. SOLUTION: It has a hydraulic transmission gear connected to an engine 10, an input rotation number detection means to detect the number of revolution on the input side of the hydraulic transmission gear, an output revolution number detection means to detect the number of revolution on the output side of the above-mentioned hydraulic transmission gear and a driving wheel slipping detection means 93 to detect that a driving wheel 62 is slipping at the time of judging whether a rotation number ratio of the number of revolution on the output side against the number of revolution on the above-mentioned input side is higher than a set value or not and finding that the above-mentioned revolution number ratio is higher than the set value. In this case, as it is only required to calculate the number of revolution of the input side of the hydraulic transmission gear and the number of revolution of the output side but it is not necessary to find variation of the number of revolution of an output shaft of a transmission gear 16, it is obviated to monitor the number of revolution of the output shaft.
