A silver halide color photographic light sensitive material excellent in both sharpness and whiteness of background while being capable of satisfactorily displaying the yellow coupler characteristics including an excellent color reproduction is provided, wherein the silver halide color photographic light sensitive material contains a compound represented by the following Formula [I] in at least one of the photographic component layers thereof, a compound represented by the following Formula [II] in at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers thereof, and a compound represented by the following Formula [III] in at least one of the photographic component layers; and ##STR1##

Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a base paper support coated with a hydrophilic polymer as a peeling agent, and having thereon, a polyolefin resin layer, and at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the hydrophilic polymer is coated on the side on which the silver halide emulsion layer is provided, and a peel strength between the base paper support and the polyolefin resin layer is within the range of 30 to 160 g in weight per inch, and a maximum color transmission density is not less than 2.0 when the silver halide light-sensitive material is subjected to a color developing.

A method of forming a color image comprising developing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material with a developing solution containing an aromatic primary amine is disclosed. The developing is carried out in the presence of a coupler represented by the general formula (I) described below and/or a polymer coupler which is a polymer or copolymer having a repeating unit derived from a vinyl monomer containing a part represented by the general formula (I) described below in its molecule: ##STR1## wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; and X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released upon coupling. The magenta color forming coupler represented by the general formula (I) or the polymer coupler containing the part represented by the general formula (I) has a good color forming property and provides a magenta color image having an excellent spectral absorption property free from subsidiary absorptions in the region around 430 nm and good fastness. A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing the magenta coupler is also disclosed.

Pyrazolo(1,5-B)-1,2,4-triazole derivatives

A color photographic material and a method of forming a color photographic image which utilizes a 5-pyrazolone magenta coupler shown by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents an acylamino group, an anilino group or a ureido group; R1, R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, a carboxy group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group (which groups may be substituted) and R.sub. and R2 may combine to form a 2-indazolyl group, provided that R1, R2 and R3 are not hydrogen atoms at the same time; and Ar represents a phenyl group which may be substituted with one or more halogen atoms, alkyl groups, alkoxy groups or cyano groups. These 5-pyrazolone magenta couplers are two-equivalent magenta couplers and particularly suitable for providing silver halide color photographic light-sensitive materials having high sensitivity.

Color photographic material and process incorporating a novel magenta coupler

A magenta-forming photographic coupler is a pyrazolo triazolo of general formula.
 where R 1 + R 2 are each H, halogen or various aliphatic or cyclic substituents; X is H or a coupling releasable group; or R 1 , R 2 or X may form a bis-coupler; or R, or R 2 may link to a vinyl group of a vinyl monomer to form a polymer coupler. 72 specific couplers are shown, and six synthesis methods. The coupler may be in a silver halide emulsion layer of a photographic material or in a primary amine color developing solution. The material may include other magenta couplers, and/or a phenoxy derivative as a dye stabilizer. Color development produces good magenta image free from subsidiary yellow absorptions.
