A suspension control apparatus includes a variable damping coefficient type shock absorber disposed between sprung mass and unsprung mass of a vehicle and an actuator for setting and adjusting a damping coefficient of the variable damping coefficient type shock absorber on the basis of a control signal. An upward and downward absolute velocity detector for detecting an upward absolute velocity and a downward absolute velocity of the vehicle is provided. A control unit changes a signal from the upward and downward absolute velocity detector in accordance with a running condition of the vehicle to obtain a control target signal. A control signal generator outputs the control signal for the actuator on the basis of the control target signal from the control unit. A signal representative of the roughness of a road surface on which the vehicle is running is generated and a feature of the control unit is adjusted for changing the control signal on the basis of the signal representative of the road surface roughness.

Suspension control apparatus

The technical field of the invention generally concerns electronically controlled valves for use in electro-hydraulically controlled transmissions. The valve 20 includes a hollow cage 42 pierced by tank ports 52, clutch ports 54, and by pump ports 56. The pump ports 56 receive fluid from a pump. The clutch ports 54 supply fluid to a hydraulic actuator. The cage clutch ports 54 supply fluid at a pressure that is proportional to an electrical control signal applied to a coil 252 of the valve 20. The tank ports 52 return fluid from the valve 20 to a tank. Located in the cage 42 is a main spool 112 that moves laterally relative to the cage 42 for controlling a flow of hydraulic fluid between the clutch ports 54 and either the pump ports 56 or the tank ports 52. An electro-magnetically operated pilot valve regulates a control pressure of fluid applied to a control pressure surface 138 at one end of the main spool 112. A feedback pressure passage 126, having a feedback restriction orifice 128, couples the pressure of fluid in the clutch ports 54 to a feedback pressure surface 114 at the opposite end of the spool 112. The orifice 128 restrains the rate at which fluid flows between the clutch ports 54 and the feedback pressure surface 114. One embodiment of the valve 20 includes a pressure spike suppression check valve 504 for relieving any abnormally high pressure that occurs in the clutch ports 54.

Vehicular acceleration is sensed and used to set and/or modify at least two of a plurality of control sensitivity values in a manner which increases one with respect to the other and thus avoids the situation wherein a limited amount of servo power is wasted by futile operation of a servo powered arrangement which cannot produce a large control effect under the instant operating conditions and enables an adequate amount servo power to be directed to the operation of a different arrangement which can be effective.

A hydraulic actuator assembly includes an actuator, a first sink subsystem in fluid communication with an upper working chamber of the actuator, a second sink subsystem in fluid communication with a lower working chamber of the actuator and a source subsystem in fluid communication with both the upper and lower working chambers of the actuator. A low pressure accumulator is in fluid communication with the upper and lower working chambers, the first and second sink subsystems and source subsystem. A high pressure accumulator is in fluid communication with the first and second sink subsystems and the source subsystem. The hydraulic actuator assembly can generate passive or active forces with or without energy recuperation.

Recuperating passive and active suspension

The present invention comprises methods and compositions for the treatment of pathological conditions of the dermis and dermal structures of animals and humans. In particular, the present invention comprises the use of topical delivery vehicles, including hydrogels, which incorporate active agents such as organic acids, for the treatment of dermal conditions.

Methods and compositions for treatment of dermal conditions

A pressure control system for suspension delivers a pressure which is proportional to a current level chosen to energize a solenoid of a pressure control valve to a shock absorber of a suspension. A change in the pressure of a return path which supplies a low pressure to the pressure control valve causes the pressure which is applied to the suspension to change. In order to suppress such change, a junction of the pressure control valve with the return path has an orifice interposed therein or is connected to a low pressure accumulator. On the other hand, in the event a depression occurs in the output of the high pressure piping, a cut valve which functions to isolate the suspension from the pressure control valve may be temporarily cut off in response to a pressure fluctuation in the high pressure piping. In order to prevent this, an orifice is interposed between the high pressure piping and a pilot chamber of the cut valve.

Pressure control system for suspension

PURPOSE:To prevent the driving comfortableness from deterioration by correcting a controlling quantity of an adjusting valve means for controlling charge and discharge of fluid to actuators arranged between wheels and a vehicle body according to variation of line pressure, and constituting the device to change the correcting quantity according to vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A high pressure feed pipe 8 on the discharge side of an engine driven pump 1 is branched off a front wheel high pressure feed pipe 6 and a rear wheel high pressure feed pipe (not shown in the figure), they are respectively connected to the actuators 101fr, 101fL of front wheel side suspensions 100fr, 100fL, through pressure control valves 80 (80fr, 80fL) and the like provided on respective wheels. The pressure control valve 80 is provided to control based on the pilot pressure reduced with a fixed restriction from the line pressure due to the pump 1. In this case, in ECU to which output signals of a vehicle speed sensor and a pressure sensor for detecting line pressure are input, a controlled quantity of the pressure control valve 80 is computed, the controlled quantity is corrected according to variation of the line pressure, and the correcting quantity is changed according to the vehicle speed.

Control device for suspension

PURPOSE:To prevent a current value from being fluctuated due to a fluctuation of a current voltage even in the case the detection of an actual current value is delayed by detecting the current voltage applied to a load, and updating immediately the electric conduction duty in accordance with its voltage. CONSTITUTION:The controller is provided with a switching means 200 for switching ON/OFF of an electric conduction of a load, a means 180 for detecting a current flowing to the load, and a means 18 for detecting a voltage of the current connected to the load. Also, by providing a control means 170 for correcting a set target value in accordance with an inverse number of the detected voltage, and also, deriving a duty ratio by multiplying an integral value of a deviation of the target value and the detected current value by a proportional constant, the switching means 200 is controlled in accordance with the duty ratio. Accordingly, in the case the current voltage is fluctuated, the duty is corrected automatically immediately after detecting it, therefore, even if an instantaneous value load current is varied, a variation of an effective value of the load current is suppressed. In such a way, it can be prevented that the fluctuation of the current voltage exerts the influence on the energizing quantity of the load.

Electric conduction duty controller

PURPOSE: To instantaneously detect abnormality without a detection delay due to a time constant circuit by providing a load, current detection unit, current supply control means, comparison means and abnormality detection means. CONSTITUTION: The load is worked in accordance with the supplied current. The current flowing to the load is detected by current detection means of the current detection unit 180. The current flowing to the load is switched by a driver 200 which is switching means. By a duty control unit 170 which is the supply current control means, the driver 200 which is the switching means is made to be periodically on/off to flow a substantially intermittent current to the load. By the comparison means of the current detection unit 180, the current detected by the current detection means is compared with the fixed threshold level which is larger than the maximum value of the current flowing to the load at the normal time. By microcomputers 110, 120 which are the abnormality detection mans, an existence of excessive current is discriminated in accordance with the compared result in the comparison means.
