Determination of inorganic anions by high performance liquid chromatography

A novel polymer-based zwitterionic separation material was synthesized by a two-step reaction, in which 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate−ethylene dimethacrylate copolymer beads were first activated with epichlorohydrin, whereafter (2-dimethylamino)ethanesulfonic acid inner salt was coupled to the epoxide groups on the activated beads in a quaternizing reaction. The resulting material carried strong/strong charge zwitterionic pendant groups, whose charge properties did not change over a wide pH range. It was capable of separating inorganic anions and cations both independently and simultaneously using aqueous solutions of perchloric acid or perchlorate salts as eluent. High-performance ion chromatography of anions

PURPOSE: To switch many flow passage accurately through easy operation by switching the plural flow passages only by rotating one rotor. CONSTITUTION: A stator 21 has 2n+1 (n: integer ≥2) small openings (a)W(g) (n=3) formed on the same circumference at equal angles. Further, plural (n=3) cross-linkage grooves AWC which link the small openings (a)W(g) selectively are formed on the surface of a rotor 24 which faces the stator. The stator 21 and rotor 24 are assembled in liquidtight contact so that the small openings (a)W(g) and cross-linkage grooves AWC face each other, and the rotor 24 is rotated while sliding on the stator 21 to switch the flaw passages in 2n+1, i.e. 7 ways. Flaw passage changing device

PURPOSE:To execute exact liquid injection with a simple operation by constituting a liquid injecting device in such a manner that the operation for injecting selectively two kinds of liquids into the stationary flow of the other liquid can be executed by only the rotating operation of one rotor. CONSTITUTION:The liquid passage (a)-(a' A) (j) is formed and the flow of the eluate is stationary while a stator 21 and the rotor are in a neutral position (liquid pulling mode). The liquid passage C D (b) loop 30 (e) E (d) is formed and the sample S1 is packed into the loop 30 in a sample S1 system. S2 is filled into a loop 31 by the liquid passage (h) G (i) loop 31 (f) F (g) of the S2 system. Only the sample S1 in the loop 30 is admitted to the eluate I and the injection of S1 as 'plug flow' is realized in the injection mode in which the rotor is slide and rotated 40 deg. clockwise with respect to the stator 21. The various relative positioning of the rotor and stator is further made possible by the simple rotating operation and since the various functions are selected, the exact liquid injection is made possible.
