Journal ArticleDOI

Laboratory acquired infection with recombinant vaccinia virus containing an immunomodulating construct.

TL;DR: The case of a Vaccinia infection in a previously vaccinated researcher working with various genetically modified strains is reported, which carries a functionally inactivated cytohesin-1 gene of human origin that had been shown to impair leukocyte adhesion by interacting with the LFA/ICAM-1 axis.
Journal ArticleDOI

L-type Ca2+ channels of the embryonic mouse heart.

TL;DR: Electrophysiological and pharmacological investigations on Ca(v)1.2-/- cardiomyocytes demonstrated that contractions depended on the influx of Ca( 2+) through an L-type-like Ca(2+) channel, and the expression pattern of various L- type Ca(3+) channels was analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

State- and isoform-dependent interaction of isradipine with the α1C L-type calcium channel

TL;DR: The results suggest that the higher DHP selectivity of the α1Cb versus theα1Ca channel is caused by the structural difference in the binding site and not by different transitions between resting, open and inactivated states.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gating of the expressed Cav3.1 calcium channel

TL;DR: Inactivation of ICa by prolonged depolarization pulse did not immobilize intramembrane charge movement in the Cav3.1 channel.
