TL;DR: It is recommended that blood examination should be done to detect anemia which frequently accompanys this syndrome and this lesion had the characteristics of carvernous hemangioma.
Abstract: A case of the blue rubber-bleb nevus syndrome which occurred in the oral cavity in a 61-year-old female was reported with a review of literature. Histological investigation disclosed that this lesion had the characteristics of carvernous hemangioma which had no apparent difference in comparison with another carvernous hemangioma in the oral cavity. For differential diagnosis, the authors recommended that blood examination should be done to detect anemia which frequently accompanys this syndrome.
