The invention discloses a full penetration welding method for a titanium-steel composite board. Vanadium is adopted as middle transition layers of composite interfaces of the titanium-steel composite board to achieve full penetration welding performed on the titanium-steel composite board. The welding process of the titanium-steel composite board includes the steps of clearing and welding performed on steel basic layers, weld joint clearing and detecting performed on the steel basic layers, groove clearing performed on the middle transition layers, welding performed on the middle transition layers, weld joint clearing and detecting performed on the middle transition layers, pre-weld clearing, welding and postwelding clearing and detecting performed on titanium covering layers and mechanical property testing performed on weld joint connectors. Full penetration welding performed on the titanium-steel composite board can be achieved, the weld joint connectors are completely fused, weld joint quality is good, formed weld joints are beautiful, and the problem that in the process of welding the titanium-steel composite board, full penetration welding can not be achieved is solved.

Full penetration welding method for titanium-steel composite board

A method for joining clad metal plates having a protective layer (27), e.g. titanium, and a substrate layer (28), e.g. carbon steel, includes firstly removing margins (29) of protective layer along edges of the clad metal plates to be joined. The substrate layers are then welded together to form an exposed substrate weld (31). Covering material (38) of the same type as the protective layer (27) is then located along the exposed substrate weld (31) to a level substantially flush with an outer surface of the protective layer (27). The substrate layer (28) is heated prior to welding the covering material so that the covering material is pre-stressed when cooled. The method may be used to fabricate reaction vessels having seams that do not stand proud of the remainder of the interior surface of the vessel. The low profile seams are less susceptible to erosion than has been the case in the past so that longer-life vessels can be produced. The invention encompasses vessels such as autoclaves, crucibles and reaction vessels formed of clad plate joined by the method.

The invention discloses welding materials for butt welding of transition layers of a titanium clad steel plate and a welding method of the welding materials, and belongs to the technical field of metal material welding. The welding materials comprise a welding material for a surfacing layer and a near-titanium layer, a welding material for a bottoming layer, a welding material for a steel layer and a welding material for a titanium layer, wherein the welding material for the surfacing layer and the near-titanium layer comprises, by weight percentage, less than or equal to 0. 011% of carbon, less than or equal to 0.32% of silicon, 2.0-4.0% of manganese, less than or equal to 0.01% of phosphorus, less than or equal to 0.01% of sulfur, 10-17% of chromium, 2-16% of molybdenum, less than or equal to 2.0% of copper, less than or equal to 5.0% of ferrum and the balance nickel; and the welding material for the bottoming layer comprises more than or equal to 99.9% of nickel. The welding methodcomprises the following step that a groove form of a welding joint is designed to be an X-shaped groove, surfacing is carried out on the groove of the surfacing layer, then the near-titanium layer isfilled and welded with the near-welding material for the near-titanium layer, welding is carried out on the steel layer by using the welding material of ordinary carbon steel, and finally welding is carried out on the titanium layer by using an industrial TA2 welding wire. The welding materials and the welding method have the advantage that the fusion welding butt joint of the titanium clad steelplate has relatively high strength and toughness; and the problem of application bottleneck of welding of the titanium clad steel plate can be solved.

Welding materials for butt welding of transition layers of titanium clad steel plate and welding method of welding materials

PURPOSE: To prevent fusion of Ti and base metal steel and to perform welding without a Ti backing plate by specifying a cut-off part to insert Ti insert material and a groove angle. CONSTITUTION: At the time of cutting off completely a part of Ti cladding material 1-2 of a butt part to provide a groove 13 thereon, the groove 13 having depth slightly deeper by t 3 than thickness of the cladding material 2-2 and besides, having 20-40mm bottom width l 1 of the cut-off part 10 of steel base metal 1-1 and 20-60° angle θ 2 is provided. In addition, the Ti insert material 11 to be inserted into the Ti cut-off part 10 is formed so that there is no clearance between the bottom and the steel base metal 1-1 and besides, the interval between both sides and the cut-off part end face of the Ti cladding material 1-2, namely, the Ti side groove 13 is made in a mouth-opened shape. At the time of welding, a single-V groove 14 formed on one side of the steel base metal 1-1 is first welded and then, the Ti insert material 11 is inserted into the Ti cladding material cut-off part 10 and the groove 13 formed by the insert material 11 and the Ti cladding material 1-2 is welded to complete butt welding of the title clad steel plate 1.
