A short review of the main properties of coherent and squeezed states is given in the introductory form. The efforts are addressed to clarify concepts and notions, including some passages of the history of science, with the aim of facilitating the subject for nonspecialists. In this sense, the present work is intended to be complementary to other papers of the same nature and subject in current circulation.

On the non-classicality features of new classes of nonlinear coherent states

Quasi Bell states are introduced as a result of superposition of two-mode separable nonlinear coherent states. In this paper, we consider the nonlinearity function related to the harmonious states. To evaluate the effectiveness of these states in quantum information theory, nonclassical properties such as photon statistics, squeezing, and entanglement are studied. The entanglement of these states is examined by calculating the concurrence. According to our calculations, three of the introduced states are maximally entangled states. In addition, the cross-correlation function of the three maximally entangled states is less than 1 for all values of |α|2.

Nonclassical properties and entanglement of superposition of two-mode separable nonlinear coherent states

A theoretical scheme for generation of Gazeau–Klauder coherent states via intensity-dependent degenerate Raman interaction

In this paper, after a brief review on the coherent states and squeezed states, we introduce two classes of entangled coherent-squeezed states. Next, in order to generate the introduced entangled states, we present a theoretical scheme based on the resonant atom-field interaction. In the proposed model, a $$\varLambda $$?-type three-level atom interacts with a two-mode quantized field in the presence of two strong classical fields. Then, we study the amount of entanglement of the generated entangled states using the concurrence and linear entropy. Moreover, we evaluate a few of their nonclassical properties such as photon statistics, second-order correlation function, and quadrature squeezing and establish their nonclassicality features.
