Journal ArticleDOI

Human ethanol-inducible P450IIE1: complete gene sequence, promoter characterization, chromosome mapping, and cDNA-directed expression.

TL;DR: The human P450IIE1 gene, coding for an ethanol-inducible nitrosamine-metabolizing P-450, was isolated from a lambda EMBL3 genomic library and completely sequenced and compared to the rat gene.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromosomal mapping of the simian sarcoma virus onc gene analogue in human cells.

TL;DR: By testing for the presence of the human v-sis-related fragment, c-sis (human), in somatic cell hybrids possessing varying numbers of human chromosome, as well as in segregants of such hybrids, it was possible to assignc-sis to human chromosome 22.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of a new P450 expressed in human lung: complete cDNA sequence, cDNA-directed expression, and chromosome mapping.

TL;DR: A cDNA coding for a P450 expressed in human lung was isolated from a lambda gt11 library constructed from human lung mRNA using a cDNA probe to rat P450 IVA1, and IVB1-related mRNA was also expressed in rat lung and was undetectable in untreated rat liver.
Journal ArticleDOI

Two inflammatory mediator cytokine genes are closely linked and variably amplified on chromosome 17q

TL;DR: The genomic organization of two newly described induced lymphokine genes, 464.1 and 744.1, has been determined and appear to be the human homologues of the recently cloned murine macrophage inflammatory proteins, MIP-1 alpha and MIP
