Determination of the total phenolic, flavonoid and proline contents in Burkina Fasan honey, as well as their radical scavenging activity.
TL;DR: In this paper, several honey samples (27) from Burkina Faso were analyzed to determine their total phenolic, flavonoid and proline contents as well as their radical scavenging activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polyphenol content and antioxidant activity of fourteen wild edible fruits from Burkina Faso.
A. Lamien-Meda,Charles Euloge Lamien,Moussa Compaoré,Roland Nâg-Tiéro Meda,Martin Kiendrebeogo,Boukaré Zeba,Jeanne F. Millogo,Odile Germaine Nacoulma +7 more
TL;DR: A total of fourteen species of wild edible fruits from Burkina Faso were analyzed for their phenolic and flavonoid contents, and their antioxidant activities using the DPPH, FRAP and ABTS methods, and there was a strong correlation between total Phenolic and Flavonoid levels and antioxidant activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo antimalarial activities of extracts from Amaranthus spinosus L. and Boerhaavia erecta L. in mice
TL;DR: The plant extracts showed significant antimalarial activities in the 4-day suppressive antimalaria assay in mice inoculated with red blood cells parasitized with Plasmodium berghei bergei.
Journal ArticleDOI
