Use of silane monomers for molecular imprinting and enzyme entrapment in polysiloxane-coated porous silica

TL;DR: The use of organic silane monomers in the preparation of substrate-selective polymers by molecular imprinting is described in this article, where polysiloxane copolymers imprinted with the dyes rhodanile blue or safranine O showed preferential binding of the respective compound.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imprinted polymers as antibody mimetics and new affinity gels for selective separations in capillary electrophoresis

TL;DR: In this article, a methylacrylate-based imprinted dispersion polymers were prepared in situ in a fused-silica capillary as agglomerates of micrometer-sized globular particles, exhibiting antibody mimetic, molecular recognition properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acrylic polymer preparations containing recognition sites obtained by imprinting with substrates

TL;DR: In this article, the impriting of various molecules in highly cross-linked synthetic polymers is described, and an alternative procedure for the preparation of substrate-selective polymers was subsequently developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

The function of cation-binding agents in the enzymatic treatment of municipal sludge

TL;DR: It is suggested that steric hindrances were responsible for the decreased enzymatic sludge solubilisation and that polyvalent metal ions were directly involved in adsorption of enzymes to sludge matrix and that the addition of cation binders eliminated both phenomena and thereby improved the enzymatics solubILisation of sludge.
