A control circuit for stopping a spindle at a predetermined rotational position, of the type having a position sensor for producing a zero volt signal when a specified point on the spindle arrives at the predetermined rotational position, and for producing a voltage which is positive or negative when the specified point on the spindle is in the vicinity of the predetermined rotational position on either the left or right side thereof. The control circuit includes an orientation control circuit for stopping the spindle drive motor when the output signal from the position sensor attains the value of zero volts, thereby stopping the specified point on the spindle at the predetermined rotational position. The control circuit further includes a position adjustment circuit for adjusting the rotational position, of the specified point on the spindle, at which the output signal from the position sensor crosses the zero volt line. The position at which the specified point is stopped is adjusted by the position adjustment circuit, so that it is possible to correct an error in the stopping position which results from a position sensor mounting error.

A control system for a disc playing device which facilitates selection of playing of discs by assigning identification codes comprising consecutive numbers to all disc holding grooves of a magazine. A memory of a microcomputer has a first storage area for storing the identification code of the magazine groove positioned as opposed to a disc insertion-discharge portion or playing portion, and a second storage area for storing the identification code of the groove accommodating the disc to be played. The direction of rotation of the magazine is determined by an arithmetic procedure based on the two identification codes stored in the first and second storage areas and on the difference in position between the insertion-discharge portion and the playing portion around the center of the magazine.

An attachment indexing apparatus which performs the steps of indicating an objective indexing position angle of an attachment by an indexing position angle indicating means 1, detecting the present position angle by a position detecting means 2, comparing the objective indexing position angle with the present position angle by an angle comparing means 3, determining the indexing rotation direction of the attachment by an indexing rotation direction determining means 4 in accordance with the compared result, calculating an indexing rotation angle of the attachment from the angle compared result and the indexing rotation direction by an indexing rotation angle calculating means 5, and indexing and rotating the attachment in accordance with the determined indexing rotation direction and the calculated indexing rotation angle.

Method and apparatus for indexing attachment

Motor vehicle parking apparatus has pallets for vehicles which are arranged next to each other on a movable construction which is drivable so that each pallet can be brought into line with a predetermined position such as a loading position. In order to achieve accurate alignment of a pallet with the predetermined position, a drive control sysem is used which controls operation of the drive in accordance with an evaluated difference between an actual value derived from an increment transmiter and a predetermined theoretical value dependent on the individual pallet to be aligned. Overrun of the predetermined position is corrected by reversal of the drive under control of a correction signal.

Apparatus for parking motor vehicles

This is a device that enables one to control the translation and rotation of an element relative to a light beam. The device has a rotatable member having a plurality of position-identifying circumferentially spaced openings therein as well as an aperture for the transmission of a light beam. The rotatable member is associated with translation means and rotating means. In a preferred embodiment the rotatable member is remotely controlled with a computer.

An angular position control apparatus for a machine tool circular table comprises a circuit for discriminating whether a command from a command register is such that the output from an absolute position detector for the table passes over the figure zero and an angular converter for converting a present or stopped position of the table detected by the position detector into an angular value. The output of the angular converter is compared with the command to drive the circular table. The resulting compared difference controls the clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the table and table rotation in the neighborhood of the figure zero of the position detector is smoothed.
