A new resistorless voltage-to-current converter utilizing only MOS transistors to achieve voltage-to-current conversion with less than /spl plusmn/0.5% nonlinearity is described. The circuit uses MOS transistors in linear and saturation regions to produce an output current linearly related to the input voltage. The output current is proportional to the carrier mobility tracking the process variations. This circuit is suitable for submicron technologies where the availability of a linear resistor with moderate sheet resistance is not guaranteed. The circuit is fabricated using 0.6-/spl mu/m n-well CMOS technology, consumes less than 200 /spl mu/A, and occupies 200 mm/sup 2/ of area.

All-MOS voltage-to-current converter

A reference pulse generator comprises a quartz crystal oscillator, a frequency divider connected to the oscillator for frequency dividing the oscillator output, and a constant current generator connected in series both with the oscillator and the frequency divider to control the current applied to the oscillator from a power source. The constant current generator comprises a current limiting element, such as a MOSFET, which is controlled by a reference voltage produced by a reference voltage generator.

Low-power consumption reference pulse generator

An integratable amplitude-regulated oscillator circuit includes a resonator element, a control element having a control input, an inverter having an output and an input coupled to one another through the resonator element and having a quadrature-axis current component being variable by the control element, an amplitude regulating circuit having an input connected to the input of the inverter and an output connected to the control input of the control element, and an output stage having an input connected to the input of the inverter. The amplitude regulating circuit includes a differential amplifier having an inverting input and a non-inverting input, a first peak value rectifier connected upstream of the inverting input, and a second peak value rectifier connected upstream of the non-inverting input. The first peak value rectifier is acted upon by a sum of a signal voltage present at the input of the inverter and a first auxiliary voltage derived from a reference voltage, and the second peak value rectifier is acted upon by a second auxiliary voltage derived from the reference voltage.

Integratable amplitude-regulated oscillator circuit

Oscillator circuit with a feedback-type invertor (M1, M2), the transverse current of which can be adjusted as a function of a reference voltage via an amplitude control circuit consisting of two peak rectifiers (MS1, MS2) and a differential amplifier (MD1, MD5).

Integrable amplitude-controllable oscillator

An amplitude stabilized oscillator which includes an amplifier having an input, an output, and a control terminal. The amplifier has a frequency determining feedback circuit connected between its output and input terminals, and has a control voltage produced by two opposite current sources applied to its control terminal. An amplitude detector detects the oscillator output amplitude during at most one half of each oscillation period and produces an amplitude stabilizing signal which is applied to one of the two current sources.
