[Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy: long-term results after hemodilution therapy]

Journal ArticleDOI
Eine neue Möglichkeit der Behandlung der Keratokonjunktivitis sicca durch Besprühung mit einer Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion

Journal ArticleDOI
Decreased viability and proliferation of CHANG conjunctival epithelial cells after contact with ultraviolet light-irradiated pollen.
Andrea Heidinger,Dieter Franz Rabensteiner,Jasmin Rabensteiner,Petra Kieslinger,Jutta Horwath-Winter,Edith Stabentheiner,Regina Riedl,Andreas Wedrich,Otto Schmut +8 more
TL;DR: UV light is able to alter pollen thus making them more harmful for conjunctival cells, resulting in a statistically significant higher decrease of cell viability than treatment with non-irradiated pollen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Notizen: Zur Synthese von 4-Formyl-chinolin-2-carbonsäuren / Synthesis of 4-Formyl-quinoline-2-carboxylic Acids
Otto Schmut,Thomas Kappe +1 more
TL;DR: The reaction of o-aminophenylglyoxal dimethylacetales with sodium pyruvate in the presence of sodium ethoxide yields 4-dimethoxymethyl-quinoline-2-carboxylic acids which give the title compounds on acid hydrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative Bestimmung von Harnsäure in menschlicher Tränenflüssigkeit
Otto Schmut,Jutta Horwath-Winter,S. Brogyanyi,Sieglinde Kirchengast,Ch. Wachswender,A. Gruber +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors find a signifikante Korrelation zwischen dem Harnsauregehalt in den Tranen and im Serum, und lassen den Schluss zu, dass ein Teil des antioxidativen status der tranen auf den Gehalt an Harnaure zuruckzufuhren ist.
