Analysis of microstrip antennas using moment methods

TL;DR: In this paper, the method of moments is used to analyze microstrip antennas of rectangular and nonrectangular shape, and surface currents are used to model the microstrip patch and volume polarization currents for the dielectric slab.
Journal ArticleDOI

A surface patch model for polygonal plates

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of moments surface patch model for polygon plates is presented and three methods for segmenting polygonal plates are considered, including full surface testing and point matching, as it affects the efficiency and generality of the solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wire antennas in the presence of a dielectric/ferrite inhomogeneity

TL;DR: In this paper, a moment method solution for treating thin-wire antennas in the presence of an arbitrary dielectric and/or ferrite inhomogeneity is presented, where the wire is modeled by an equivalent surface current density, and the dielectrics/ferrite inhoms are modeled by equivalent volume polarization currents.
Journal ArticleDOI

The circumferential variation of the axial component of current in closely spaced thin-wire antennas

TL;DR: In this paper, a moment method was used to describe the current variation along the length of the wire and a Fourier series for the circumferential variation of the surface current density of parallel dipoles obtained by the thin-wire theory, wire-grid model and the present formulation.
