Reference database for seismic ground-motion in Europe (RESORCE)
Sinan Akkar,M. A. Sandikkaya,M. A. Sandikkaya,M. Senyurt,A. Azari Sisi,Bekir Özer Ay,Paola Traversa,John Douglas,Fabrice Cotton,Lucia Luzi,B. Hernandez,S. Godey +11 more
TL;DR: The Reference Database for Seismic Ground-Motion in Europe (RESORCE) as discussed by the authors is one of the by-products of the SeIsmic Ground Motion Assessment (SIGMA) project.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparisons among the five ground-motion models developed using RESORCE for the prediction of response spectral accelerations due to earthquakes in Europe and the Middle East
John Douglas,Sinan Akkar,Gabriele Ameri,Pierre-Yves Bard,Dino Bindi,Julian J. Bommer,Sanjay Singh Bora,Fabrice Cotton,Boumédiène Derras,Marcel Hermkes,Nicolas Kuehn,Lucia Luzi,Marco Massa,Francesca Pacor,Carsten Riggelsen,M. Abdullah Sandıkkaya,M. Abdullah Sandıkkaya,Frank Scherbaum,Peter J. Stafford,Paola Traversa +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared five ground motion models in terms of data selection criteria, characteristics of the models and predicted peak ground and response spectral accelerations, and made comparisons with predictions from the Next Generation Attenuation (NGA) models.
Journal ArticleDOI
The French seismic CATalogue (FCAT-17)
Kevin Manchuel,Paola Traversa,David Baumont,Michel Cara,Emmanuelle Nayman,Christophe Durouchoux +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a parametric earthquake catalogue using moment magnitude Mw, as the reference magnitude scale to cover both instrumental and historical periods for metropolitan France, is presented, which makes this catalogue directly usable as an input for probabilistic or deterministic seismic hazard studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A constant influx model for dike propagation: Implications for magma reservoir dynamics
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider a two-phase dike propagation model, including a first vertical propagation followed by a lateral migration along a lithological discontinuity and reproduce independent estimates of propagation velocities, rise times, and injected volumes when applying the model to the August 2003 Piton de la Fournaise eruption.
Journal ArticleDOI
Changes in effective stress during the 2003–2004 Ubaye seismic swarm, France
G. Daniel,Elodie Prono,François Renard,François Renard,François Thouvenot,Sebastian Hainzl,David Marsan,Agnès Helmstetter,Paola Traversa,Jean-Luc Got,L. Jenatton,Robert Guiguet +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors study changes in effective stress (normal stress minus pore pressure) that occurred in the French Alps during the 2003-2004 Ubaye earthquake swarm and propose that background events are triggered directly by a transient fluid circulation at depth.
