Journal ArticleDOI

Enzymatic resolution of 1,2-diols : preparation of optically pure dropropizine

TL;DR: Kinetic resolution of (R,S)-3-(4-phenyl-1-piperazinyl)-1,2-propanediol diacetate by alcoholysis with npropanol was carried out under lipase Amano PS catalysis in various organic solvents as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enzymatic preparation of optically active α and β-hydroxyaloehydes

TL;DR: In this article, the resolution of protected α and β-hydroxyaldehydes 1a-1e, chiral building blocks in the synthesis of natural products, was easily achieved by lipase-catalyzed stereoselective hydrolysis of corresponding acetic or butyric ester derivative.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lipase-Catalyzed Resolution of Isopropylidene Glycerol: Effect of Co-Solvents on Enantioselectivity

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the influence of organic co-solvents on the activity and enantioselectivity of 1,2-O-isopropylidene glycerol via enzyme catalyzed hydrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Resolution of isopropylidene-glycerol benzoate by sequential enzymatic hydrolysis and preferential crystallization

TL;DR: Both enantiomers of isopropylidene-glycerol are prepared from its benzoate ester with enantiomeric excess ≥ 95% by combined partially stereoselective lipase-catalyzed hydrolysis and preferential crystallization as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enzymatic transformation of cephalosporin C to 7-ACA by simultaneous action of immobilized d-amino acid oxidase and glutaryl-7-ACA acylase

TL;DR: In optimum conditions, the conversion of CEPH C to 7-ACA was higher than 90%, with byproduct formation lower than 4%, and the mixture of immobilized enzymes was reused in repeated reaction cycles, showing an appreciable operational stability.
